My favorite black and white curtains
In this post, I gathered some of my favorite black and white curtains which I either made myself or found online for sale. They match any space and decor and I think any room could use a healthy dose of a black and white pattern because it just goes with everything.
I specifically get a lot of questions about our black and white curtains that I have throughout the entire downstairs of our home (see the below photo). When I forward the link to my tutorial about how I made them, I usually get a rather cynical response of “who has time for that”. I totally get that not everyone has the time to iron on hundreds of heat transfer squares that you have to cut yourself onto curtain panels. People usually just want to buy my black and white curtains and not DIY them.

That’s exactly why I thought I’d look up my favorite black and white curtains that would all look nice instead of my curtains if you don’t want to make your own. Or like the below number 8 which is the fabric to my curtains available on Spoonflower now.
I’d really love each and every one of them in my own home. I hope you agree and it will satisfy some of you who just don’t want to make their own as I did.
{update: in the below photo, a lot of the curtains are already sold out!!!
So I added a new roundup in the second photo}
Modern black and white curtains
1 | 2 (sold out but very similar ones HERE) | 3 | 4 | 5 (similar HERE) | 6 (sold out but very similar ones HERE and HERE) | 7 | 8
As I mentioned above number 8 is a photo of my curtains. I wrote a blog post about that fabric. I just had to include the black and white fabric in the lineup.
The following curtains didn’t make it in the collage but they are also very pretty.
Different classic black and white curtains
Simple white curtains with black trim HERE:
And the next ones have a thick trim and a long time ago I painted some color-blocked curtains almost just like them. Unfortunately, the ones in the below photo by Pottery Barn are sold out.
And of course, you can never forget about black and white gingham and stripes… We had gray stripes in our downstairs before for a really long time.

I’ve also been looking for some curtains for our daughter’s room because she wanted to get rid of most of the pink. She loves turquoise and blue.
She settled on some curtains that we both love and they were only $30 (click HERE). They look beautiful in her room (click HERE).
She didn’t want to go with black and white haha, according to her it doesn’t match anything but according to me black and white matches everything. I love that I can have any wall color or pillows and they will look fabulous with the black and white curtains. Don’t you agree?
My DIY curtain tutorials
I love making my own curtain patterns and designs and have done several tutorials which you can find below.
Tschüß,
i like the curtains for lilly’s room- so pretty! and i love all the black and white!
Thanks, I hope the curtains will match her room
Thank you for all the drapery/curtain options. I am always wanting to change what I have out …. kinda like pillows. It drives my husband nuts. He would be content with the ones we had 30 years ago when we got married.
BLEH!
My husband gave up. He doesn’t complain anymore or care what I do. I just do it 😉 glad you like the curtains
Great round up, love #1 &7 the most!Didn’t even know Amazon had curtains like those!
I think Amazon has about everything 😉 I wish my daughter would have wanted the black and white curtains in her room 😉
Love these black and white curtains! #2 and #7 are my favorite I think 🙂

Thanks Emma, I want a different pair in every room
Gorgeous roundup Julia. So sorry to hear about your kitty. I don’t have any pets, but my thoughts are with you grieving the loss of a family member.
Thanks so much Stephanie
