Friday Favorites: favorite cascading chandeliers
Happy Friday my friends. The reason for todays favorite cascading chandelier post is the fact that my daughter’s star chandelier inn her room is broken. I’ve mentioned on Instagram, that someone bumped their head on it…ouch… and the glass and socket broke. I have it attached with wire now which doesn’t look good at all and I fear it presents a safety issue as well.

I’ve been wanting to make her a macrame chandelier but the spoiled brat doesn’t want one that I made and I told her that I’m not buying one. So we are having a stand off. I do love looking though and in todays post I want to show you my favorites. All of these cascading chandeliers would look so pretty in my daughter’s room.

Which one is your favorite? I’d actually love to try to make #4 and if I’d buy one then I’d go for #2, #7 or #8.
I’m not sure where we’ll head yet. Maybe I’ll just try to make one and hang it somewhere else in the house.

I don’t want to end todays post yet because I found some other items that I’m inn love with and wanted to share.
My birthday is coming up and I think I’m going to ask for this following little wooden hand stool (HERE). I’ve always been obsessed with the large vintage hand chairs which are super expensive and I will never own one but this little version is an affordable option.

I’m also in love with this indoor/outdoor faux Persian rug. I’ve always been in love with the durability of indoor/outdoor rugs and I love the worn look of this particular one (HERE).

And I’ve seen the following chair (HERE) in person at the store and loved it even more than on the photo. It’s just so unique with a vintage vibe.

In Germany potted olive trees have been in style and very common for years but they are now making their way to us. I’ve wanted one for a long time and am loving this realistic faux version HERE.
So that’s it for today my friend. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Tschüß,
I love number 2. If you try to make one like that, please post a tutorial.
it would look amazing! From the look at the selling websites though it seems like this type of chandelier would fit better over a table because it goes a bit low.
I guess it depends because I don’t have to make the chandelier that long and it’s not as if you hit your head on macrame strings it would hurt. I think the macrame would definitely work in her room. And I’ve seen these types of chandelier over beds before. It should be ok over a bed.
Hi Julia,
I love your posts and today is no exception. I have a question for you. What do you do with your home decor as your taste evolve? I noticed that you have transitioned from colorful “Jonathan Adleresque” to black and white natural neutral decor with some pops of blue. It’s a lot of casual and rustic so what happened to your other stuff?
I have a glamour regency look but I now I prefer more natural neutral decor but I’m invested in this look. What do I do? HOw do I transition without breaking the bank?
Hmmm that’s a great question and it makes me think that I should maybe write a blog post about it.
If I answer the question quickly then I have to say that the transition was actually not expensive or hard since my key pieces of furniture are still the same and I still love Jonathan Adler very much.
You sometimes can even use some of the same pieces just reinvented. The pieces that you don’t want anymore I sell on craigslist and then use that money to buy other things.
I feel like I need to think about this a little more and hopefully can write a blogpost about since I’m sure other people face this issue at some point.
I love questions like this.
I love #4! If you make it, please please pleeeeeease make a tutorial for it! I’d love to give it a try. Thank you for the inspiration as always 🙂
I definitely will have a tutorial if I decide to make one. The problem is finding the framework for it. I’ve been looking for months at different options but nothing is ideal.
