1. it’s going to look so good! i painted our aster vanity GF lamp black and used a polycrylic over it and it’s held up really well and doesn’t show the prints as badly.

    1. I’m using polycyclic too which has been hard to apply on the vanity. It’s so much easier to spray it. I’m currently redoing it 😉

  2. Marty Oravetz says:

Oh ilove it already, can’t wait to see more.

    1. Thanks Marty! I hope I’ll get it done for the spring home tours 😉

  3. Looks great so far! And if you think a black vanity shows you every speck of dust, you are SOOOOO lucky that you didn’t get a black counter top. Mine is a complete nightmare that NEVER looks clean.

    1. LOL, so true! That’s one of the reasons I hate my upstairs black bathroom and why I kept everything light downstairs so far.

  4. I totally agree with Arli on the black countertop. I have a dark brown countertop in my half bath and it shows every little water drop not to mention showing the inevitable toilet paper dust two seconds after I’ve cleaned. You dodged the high mainenance bullet!

    1. Yes you are right. I actually used to have black kitchen countertops before I went white. It’s so much more forgiving

  5. Shelly Mathes says:

Great job as always Julia! Excited to see the final stage!

    1. Thanks so so much Shelly

  6. Those materials are stunning Julia! I especially love the light fixture. So sleek!

    1. Oh thanks so much Kathy, I can’t wait to get my light fixture.

  7. Looks great!
    I envy your talent.

    1. Thanks so much Carol that is so sweet of you.

  8. Wow Julia, I love your choices. That slab of marble is absolutely gorgeous and I love that faucet too. All your picks are scrumptious ????☺????

    1. Hey Katja, I lucked out with the marble, thank you. I can’t wait to glue down that sink but it has to wait until I finish the walls

    1. Oh thanks so much Stephanie, can’t wait to see your powder room.

  9. its looking so good! (“like a really expensive restaurant” hahahaha–that’s awesome!) Now I’m wishing our powder room were smaller….it’s ridiculously long and skinny, which doesn’t really do me any good, but does mean I could never afford to put in a marble countertop, because it’s so big!

  10. It’s looking so pretty! Love that countertop and love even more than your son noticed how great it looked.

    1. Thanks Kim. I do love that he noticed it too. It’s kind of funny 😉
