My visit to the HGTV Dream Home on Martha’s Vineyard
And as the title already gave it away, this post is about my visit to the HGTV Dream Home on Martha’s Vineyard. I was so so fortunate to visit it on Wednesday and if you are following me on Instagram then you have seen some pictures already. I’m sure you wonder how on earth that was made possible and I have to tell you that I’m so so grateful to my fantastic friends at Delta Faucet who invited me on the trip.

The above photo is the four of us and our friends from Delta (taking the photo) enjoying our ride on the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard.
Right, when we got there we took a morning tour of the island. We saw so many amazing homes and heard about all the celebrities who frequent and live on the island. Have you guys actually ever seen Meg Ryan’s Elle Decor Feature of her home on Martha’s Vineyard? So stunning, you have to check it out.
After a fabulous lunch, we got to visit the HGTV Dream Home and a chance to talk to Jack Thomsson (“that dream home guy” how he calls himself on Twitter) and HGTV Dream Home Designer Linda Woodrum. And check this out (HERE), we even made it to the MVtimes who is showing us in action.
The home is beyond amazing and I don’t know about you but I have entered many times in previous years and will be entering again for sure to win this amazing home. A girl can dream, right? I love daydreaming about owning a beauty like this in such an amazing location.
A gorgeous master bathroom with lots of other amazing Delta fixtures, like the Compel™ bath collection and the FlushIQ Toilet.

Oh, the shower and showerhead:
It was such an amazing, fun, and inspirational trip and I’m so grateful to Delta Faucet Company who covered my expenses to attend this event.
And you can find the Sherwin-Williams paint colors HERE.
I hope you enjoyed the tour. And if you are interested in seeing other designer homes I’ve visited then you can check out the Southern Living Idea House on Bald Head Island, my tour of Bald Head Island NC the Philadelphia Magazine’s Design Home, Jersey Shore architecture, beautiful Jersey shore homes with Bahama shutters, or the fun Upside Down House in Wertheim Germany.
Tschüß,
I’ll be entering, it’s absolutely stunning! That vanity in the first bathroom will surely be knocked off in my housesome day! So glad to see a mirror outside, I’ve been wondering if it’s hazardous or not! The outdoor shower is dreamy!
I had no idea that Delta brought hands free flushing to the home!
I was thinking about making a knock off myself 😉 And I have a huge obsession with outdoor showers.
I have my very own FlushIQ and love it!!!
Wow!!
Well, not too bad, I guess…..
Nice…. Half of my comment got lost. I’m in love with this house! Soooo gorgeous!
Haha, me too 😉
I suppose not, you are right 😉
Wow, what an amazing experience! This has to be my favorite dream home yet! And I definitely have entered in the past, too! You never know! 🙂 Have a great weekend, Julia!
Ferry, not fairy.
Yup, you are right this German girl sometimes doesn’t catch on and apparently my husband doesn’t either when he reads my posts 🙂 I hope it made you laugh though.
Oh I love, love the faucets and shower heads and all of it. And forget the boy, I want that room…. lovely. And the colors are our Florida Gator colors too……. I know a few that will love that room also. And I really love the kitchen faucet and sink and the place settings around the kitchen sink…… love that. Who would not love this house?
Holy moly, it’s gorgeous! Thanks for sharing it with us Julia ~ I need to enter!! 🙂
Yes, you do and I will enter too 😉
That is gorgeous!! What a cool experience!! Your new site looks awesome by the way! Congrats!
Laura
Thanks so much Laura, the site is still a work in progress but I’m getting there. Have a great weekend.
Amazing! I enter every year – my girls check every day to make sure I do! This year is my year – I can feel it. So get ready for an invite to my new estate on Martha’s Island – just bring the sunscreen!
Deal and I’ll invite you if I win because I’m feeling lucky 😉 Cheers, Prost and Happy Weekend!
WOW this house is really a step up from what they normally do. So beautiful! I am totally jealous that you got to go there and see it. 🙂 Looks like you had a fabulous time!!
I wish you could have come too.
In order to access Martha’s Vineyard you would need to travel on a ferry not a fairy.
LOL, yes you are so right. It’s my second language and my husband proof read it (like he does with every post) and didn’t see it. Thanks for the heads up 😉
Wow! What a beautiful house! No detail was spared. How cool that you got to go visit it. It looks INCREDIBLE!
The molding and high ceilings was my favorite part. You are right, no detail was spared.
WOW! it’s just beautiful!!!!!!! i love the kids rooms and oddly enough the laundry room is my favorite. 🙂 how is that toilet?
The toilet is awesome 😉 I’d love to have the laundry room too.
The house is beautiful. I’d love to win this house! I was lucky enough to spend a few months in MV when I was in college. I helped my former boss open Lola Tortola (I’m not sure if it’s still there) in Edgartown and she let my friend and I stay at her summerhouse for free! It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.
Oh wow that sounds like a totally wonderful time Leslie. I’m so jealous that you got to stay there for free 😉 I’m not sure if the place is still there. You should google it!
It was, Now I want to put incredible molding all over my house.
What a fabulous home in a great location. Love the shot of you sitting on the cool toilet 🙂
OMG LOL, I look ridiculous 😉 I guess I got to poke fun at myself sometimes!
Kudos to Delta for making the trip possible for you! What an amazing opportunity. The home is beautiful, even if outside the realm of what I lean towards as far as decor.
The house can definitely be appreciated even if you have different taste 🙂
So beyond gorgeous! Visiting Martha’s Vineyard is on my bucket list and it sure would be sweeter if I could tour the inside of one of the homes! How wonderful of Delta to sponsor this for you!!
Now I want to go visit in the summer time too. But I had never been to the beach in the winter time. The scenery was so different and pretty.
The house is gorgeous Julia and the Martha’s Vineyard looks fab!!! I’m sure it was an incredible experience. I gotta love the marquee anchor too 🙂 lol
It was an incredible experience for sure Summer and I’m very thankful.
FANTASTIC!!!!
How lucky are you to have been able to experience this adventure!!!!
Now when I view the show I can say “I know someone who has been there!!”
Congratulations !!!!
Thanks, yes I’m very lucky!
Absolutely stunning!
Yes, it is! I’m daydreaming about winning it daily 😉
The main room reminds me of the beach house in the movie “Something’s Gotta Give” with Diane Keaton. Love it!
I lived on the Vineyard for a summer, very fond memories!
Gosh how awesome that you lived there for a summer. So jealous!
Thank you for sharing this amazing home with us. I too have been entering myself to win the HGTV home with no luck yet. 🙂 I love the color palette, My favorite rooms must be the master bathroom and the bedroom. I also love the outside shower, perfect for those showers after a morning run or swim in the ocean.
My favorite was the outdoor shower and great room. I could feel at home there for sure.
Every photo in this post made me just about want to cry. So dang pretty. Gosh I miss the east coast!
what a neat experience! I would love to move right in! 🙂
Me too! I will enter for sure
WANT! IT! This is my dream home brought to life. It’s absolutely stunning.
I want it too, no doubt about it.
That house is just TO DIE! And you are adorable!! Thanks for the great tour and sharing the inspiration!
Thanks Cassie 😉 Have a great weekend.
Love the house! Can you tell me where the lantern light in the kitchen is from?
Everything in the house is from Ethan Allen and the light is the Stockton Bronze Lantern.
What a fun post! I was looking for some orange “pops” of color for an orange crush blog post that we’re working on to announce a few of our pillows featured in HGTV magazine this month and ran across your wonderful post – Looks like a great day with friends!

Did I miss the post that tells the paint colors? I would love to incorporate some of the colors. Please post or point to me the post!
Sorry, no you didn’t miss that post. We weren’t told the paint colors during our visit. Sorry about that. But you can find the colors on the Sherwin Williams website: http://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/hgtv-home-by-sherwin-williams/homes/dream-home/
Please tell me the color of the master bedroom, I have been trying so hard to figure it out but I can’t! Thank you!!
According to Sherwin-Williams it is SW 6478 Watery.
Where is the boy’s bedding from?
