Home Tour Time
Happy first day of spring everyone! Today is the perfect day to begin another week long home tour series and Marty of A Stroll Thru Life was so nice to organize this bloghop again. Welcome to everyone coming from Tammy’s at Pink Pepper Mint Design who is before me in the hop with her lovely home.
For my tour this time I just played around with my furniture because I didn’t want to spend money on any new items. The only thing I bought was some flowers.
Here is the hallway view into our living room where you can see the moved chairs:

I had bought a red bromeliad and love it combined with the red rug but at the end moved it to the dining room for some added color and included some yellow spring flowers in our living room instead. The pillows (click HERE) on the tan chairs are actually a blue pattern but for some reason look black in the photos.
It’s crazy how different my living room feels rearranged like this and we really like it. I’m planning on redoing my fireplace seating area next month moving everything around got me thinking about what else to do. I’ve been really wanting to tear down the fireplace mantel and starting from scratch. It’s not bad at all but has always been one of those things I didn’t love. Good enough to keep but not loving it, you know what I mean. And I think the time is finally here to tackle that project since our beloved Heidi isn’t alive anymore and I can disturb her favorite spot to sleep now.
Remember this is what the fireplace looks like.
I just want to have something more chunky and not so builder standard.
So I moved the chairs over to the other side of the room for this look:
