My DIY curtains in the dining room
I know, the headline gives it away already, but do you want to see what my DIY marbled watercolor curtains look like in the dining room instead of the bedroom?
I’m not going to write much in this post, just show a lot of pictures.
Do you spy the window insert where our one cat Monkey can come in and out?
I could have taken it out to stage the room but I really wanted to show you.
I really like the curtains in my dining room for now. And now I’m playing with the idea of painting the chairs black. Why oh why you ask? Well, I have some black and white here and there and I also have the hallway coming into our open floor plan which looks like this if you remember.
Here is a photo to refresh your memory but you can also click over to see more if you are new around here (HERE):
This is kind of what the chairs would look like in black:
I totally think it would flow much better, but it all might have to wait until after the summer.
And if I paint the chairs black then I might want a new rug 😉 you know how it goes. right?
What do you think?
And I’m still dreaming of my gold Emil Stenjnar chandelier for this space and possibly some gold West Elm curtain rods*.
Tschüß,
Omg! They look fantastic in here also!!! You are on of the most talented persons I have ever known 🙂
Thank you so much Christina! And this is the sweetest comment ever!!
WOW the curtains look so fabulous in the dining room!! The colors in the curtains really make the gallery wall POP and bring such vibrancy to the room 😀 I think that the chairs being their neutral/natural color makes the whole room look light, airy, beachy even. The black would be so much more dramatic — it changes the look of the dining area from casual-modern-boho to dramatic-modern-chic (in my brain), if that makes any sense. 🙂
It makes total sense because that’s exactly what I was thinking 😉 and thanks
they look so amazing in both places!!! how on earth will you decide where to keep them?!?!!??
Shoot…..those curtains would look good in any room …..even my house:). When your tired of them!! LOL.
I love them in both rooms.Congrats on the features! You deserve it:-)!
Still love these curtains, and I’m really feeling them in the dining room. Love the idea of the chairs in black too!
Uh oh…. my earlier comment just disappeared? boo hoo……. and I love these curtains in your dining room also. I had commented about kitty kats too… yours and mine.

The curtains look great in the dining room too. I like the idea of the darker chairs with the light glass table and artwork.
What fun we have! I think the curtains look amazing in the dining room WITH the chairs painted black! I know, one thing leads to another…..around and around we go!
They really look great in here too – I can’t decide where I like them better 🙂 And I agree that black on the chairs would be awesome, even though I like them in the natural color as well! You just have flawless taste – whatever you do will be amazing 🙂
They look great in here, too! You kind of can’t go wrong with these curtains 🙂
I think I love them here better. Does that mean another pair is in the works? These are going to be the next big thing!!
LOVE the way your dining room is coming together! So bright and pretty! Love the way your gallery has come together as well.
The curtains are fantastic in the dining room! And I could see why you might want to paint the chairs black but I don’t want to make more work for you! 😉
