  1. That black cat pillow is so creepy, very Halloween like! We decorate for fall only. As a kid my parents didn’t celebrate Halloween so I don’t naturally get into that holiday. I do let my kids dress up and trick or treat but that’s it.

  2. In years past i’ve gone all out for Halloween but i much prefer just a little touch of Fall here and there (white pumpkins) but that’s it now that my kids are older.. I do love the addition of your pillows to your beautiful space!

  3. Being from and still living in Germany (hallo nach Amerika!) we don’t celebrate Halloween either. But since the year I spent abroad, I carve at least 2 pumpkins, put my fake bats on the front door and decorate our living room every year. My neighbors (and my husband, to be honest..) think I’m a little weird. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Love those animal pillows by the way! I also bought a couple of them, gotta love H&M Home!

  4. The kids push me to do stuff for Halloween and I love seeing how much fun it is for them. I already had kids ringing my doorbell because they wanted to know when the spiders are coming out again.

  5. I don’t do much for Halloween, only because I either can’t afford to or/and I am lazy and also no kids. I do some small faux pumpkins inside on the mantle at Thanksgiving and for Halloween I have some black poster board, cut out, scary kitty kats and mice I scotch tape on the inside of my front windows. Steve gave me a big, real pumpkin for my front step (stoop here in the south)…… but it will rot way before Halloween….. (yes they saw him coming). I would really rather have had one of those beautiful foam pumpkins…… but oh well, I am still happy.

I love your decor just the way it is.

AND I don’t think the kitty is creepy at all. Those tiny, squished in nose kitty kats always look grumpy to me in photo’s. lol…….. I love it and the bird one too.

After about 10 attempts to post a comment with WordPress…… I decided to use my Google account instead……. WordPress hates me I guess, it is definitely not user friendly with me…. lol lol lol.

  6. I think the black cat pillow is awesome! I haven’t decorated for fall OR Halloween the last few years, but mainly because our living situation was so unsettled. We’ll see if I get this place ready in time for a few decorations this year ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. oh my! I am completely coveting both the raven and the creepy cat pillows–love them! I totally skip fall: who wants to mess around with leaves and acorns and stuff when you can have a creepy cat?! ;). (I like leaves and acorns, too….just not as much)

  8. That’s funny, I’m totally the opposite. I love adding fall touches to the house, but we don’t celebrate Halloween. The kids are old enough now that I’ll take them to a “Trunk or Treat” event that our church puts on for the community. They have a contest for best “dressed up” car and pass out candy, have inflatables, etc. It’s pretty fun. ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy Monday!

  9. I love Fall but I really LOVE Halloween too! I’m still a kid when it comes to this time of the year! ๐Ÿ™‚ I wear a disguise, so does hubby and we enjoy preparing a costume for Nate too ha!ha!
I love those pillows; it’s a nice touch for Halloween; the black cat is scary and funny too! + I like the black and gold lamp too! ๐Ÿ˜‰
can’t wait to see what else you will prepare for Halloween!

  10. I love your holiday touches! The mirror works really well above the couch!

I don’t do much holiday decorating…I’m lucky if I get Christmas decorations up by Christmas and down by May lol. It’s so sad haha

  11. I do a combination of fall and Halloween, but mine are just added seasonal decor; no switching out accessories. Love the animal pillows!

I’d love to know how you affixed the starburst onto the mirror?

  12. Love the Halloween spirit! This time of year is so exciting and fun, you have a perfect hit of Halloween in your home! Sophisticated and cute!

P.S. I’m DYING (seriously had to pick myself off the floor) over the chevron jar on your table!! Where is that from!?!

  13. I love your decor. The pillows look great and mix in well. My kids love Halloween. My daughter is a junior and still wants to get dressed up and trick or treat with her friends. My son likes to stay home and hand out candy.

  14. Love that glorious starburst thingy above your sofa! So cool, Julia! Also, please continue doing a monthly recap. I like to read all your posts and I discovered one I had missed previously. (#StalkerAlert)
    Have a wonderful week!
