eclectic blush living room moodboard
I haven’t had a mood board for you guys in a while. The affordable Chesterfield (you can find a more high-end version HERE) that I posted a couple of weeks ago was such a big hit that it put things in motion for this design. I had a client who wanted something a little more muted. More in line with my blush and copper bedroom from last year.
So I came up with this living room moodboard. And I personally love it. It’s so different than my living room but I would live in it in a heartbeat.
Am I the only one who wants to throw out everything sometimes and start fresh (happens a lot at Target) but you won’t because you still like your things at home too and you kinda don’t have the money? Well, this is how I feel about this living room.
That forrest photo up there reminds me of the forrest I grew up in in Germany, the Spessart forrest…deep dark greens and black. Playing in the woods by my parents house with my friends was my favorite thing to do when I was little.
UPDATE: I replaced the print and side table
And before you get angry about the price of that gorgeous patterned pillow up there (which is understandable) you should check out all of the affordable Nate Berkus’ line at Target right now because it would all look amazing in this living room too and also be a lot cheaper as well. Check it out:
If you’ve been following me for a while then you know that I love showing the power of a good rug, so here is the same board with different rugs:
So which one do you like best? My daughter likes the magenta/pink one the best of course and I’m torn as usual.
Also, check out my living room mood board featuring a rose quartz sofa.
Tschüß,
love these! i am not a pink person but i can handle blush better! these are gorgeous!
Thanks my friend. I’m most definitely a pink and blush person. I think the hubby can handle blush much better though.
Hello Julia, thank you for sharing. I love the pieces you’ve picked, I can’t decide which room I like more, but I think I am leaning towards the second option. I really like the colors, blush is such a pretty color in any room. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Dagmara, my daughter likes the second option best too.
I love ALL of this. But then again I love pink so much so it’s no surprise!
Yup love pink too, thank you!
tough call, I think 3!! 🙂
I love that third rug too. My parents have a huge one at home like this that is very similar, so this reminds me of home.
going for a more neutral look I think a rug with subtle design in a color similar to the couch, a bit darker perhaps, would be nice then add pattern, texture and/or color with accessories. I don’t really like any of the rugs with that couch and the type of lamps and tables.
You had me at eclectic and blush and chesterfield:)
Haha, thanks sweet friend
I am with your daughter on this one. (Although I really, really love your living room the way you have it….. so save some money).
Well this isn’t for me, it was for a client. I’m not changing my living room. It’s fun to play around though.
WOW, that first one…LOVE it! Pinning to reference for later!
Love the interior, I would go for the first one. I think I would get so bored with 2 and 3. They are beautiful. I love the more neutral one.
Wow, these are all so beautiful. Maybe it’s just that spring is in the air but the floral rug is really calling me. And yeah, I want to throw out all my furniture and start all over again all the time! I take that as a sign that I haven’t quite nailed down my style and I need to stick to neutrals on the bigger pieces in the mean time.
Thanks Jennifer. I think the problem is that we see too many nice pieces all the time. It’s the same thing when I see clothing and jewelry 😉
Oooh, this living room design is fantastic! I love the blush accents!
Thanks, it makes me want to throw everything out
I would love to use pink in my living room, but I’m not sure my hubby would go for it! Love this moodboard though.
I LOVE that first rug from West Elm. I love blush so so much. I’m so excited to be using it in Tiny’s nursery.
