A Little Rope Belt DIY For My Palm Tree
Should I call todays post a DIY? Hmmm not sure about that. It’s a little craft and styling tip I’d say.
I’m not sure if you noticed the little embellishment I added to my palm tree in my spring home tour. Whether you noticed it or not, I’m here to explain where I got it and what I did.
Sooooo a while ago I bought some vintage wood beads (THESE, THESE, and THESE) on Etsy for another DIY I have in mind…
…but then I went to the mall and into JCrew and saw a basket full of rope belts on sale for $9 each, I thought of something else. They are out of stock online (click HERE to see them on the site) but our store still had a lot of them left (so hurry to your store if you want one):
I love the neon pink detail in the Jcrew belt. I also still want to add a larger tassel to it but my daughter took my neon pink wool and I can’t find it. I’ve been searching high and low and just don’t feel like buying a
new one when I still have a huge bundle full.
All I had to do is slip the wooden beads over the tassel. The holes were the perfect fit. And I think the belt is the perfect little accessory for our new palm tree.
If you are wondering about the flower pot, I just recently bought it for $16 at HomeGoods.
I love adding little details like this to our home.
Oh and by the way if you know of any good sources for huge wooden beads then let me know because I want more in different shapes and colors.
