I know I just had painted towels two weeks ago but I made several fabric painted towels for the DIY magazine photoshoot and I didn’t share this one with you yet.

DIY gold polka dot towel

So easy! I can’t even believe how easy it was.

I swear I didn’t see my friend Amber’s napkins before I made mine. I just saw them for the first time when my friend Katja at ShiftCtrlArt shared them last week and I felt like an idiot. Where was I in 2012?!?! So check out her tutorial as well, so similar but not the same ๐Ÿ˜‰

I used the floursack dish towels again and Ceramcoat Metallic 14K Gold and fabric medium (which you can buy at any craft store)

Delta Cermacoat Gold Metallic

I mixed the paint and fabric medium:

And I simply used a paint roller that I had left in the garage to make my dots.

Sorry for the cellphone photos. Can you tell that I just eyeballed my dots?
Yup, no measuring involved, not bad right?

And here it is in our powder room. Love it!

Something anyone could do, right?

That’s it for today, short and sweet.

Hi Pat, I recommend reading the specific fabric medium brand’s directions on the back of the bottle since it might be different depending on what you buy.
