DIY Painted Gold Polka Dot Towel
I know I just had painted towels two weeks ago but I made several fabric painted towels for the DIY magazine photoshoot and I didn’t share this one with you yet.
So easy! I can’t even believe how easy it was.
I used the floursack dish towels again and Ceramcoat Metallic 14K Gold and fabric medium (which you can buy at any craft store)
I mixed the paint and fabric medium:
And I simply used a paint roller that I had left in the garage to make my dots.
Sorry for the cellphone photos. Can you tell that I just eyeballed my dots?
Yup, no measuring involved, not bad right?
And here it is in our powder room. Love it!
You can see my other painted dishtowels by clicking HERE.
Something anyone could do, right?
That’s it for today, short and sweet.

I love these Julia! Gold and polka dots = happiness for me! I make mini homemeade breads for our neighbors for Christmas and these would be fun to give along with the bread. Love the simplicity of this project, too! Thank you for sharing this. Your home is so beautiful and fun.

So cute Julia! You can never go wrong with gold dots!
Thanks!
How lovely! I really dig the fact that the pattern doesn’t compete with the sripes on the walls. Thats always one of my biggest dillemas- mixing patterns!

Hi Pat, I recommend reading the specific fabric medium brand’s directions on the back of the bottle since it might be different depending on what you buy.
