I usually don’t post on Sundays but today is special because I’m so thrilled to be included in the “Modern & Fresh Fall” series. Did you see Jesse’s amazing tour yesterday (click HERE). She rocked it! I totally love the way she used her grandmother’s lace veil.

Everyone of the posts has been amazing so far and I was feeling really nervous about posting today.
I’m kind of torn between Halloween and Fall. I have two young kids who just adore Halloween and want to see lots of it. Previously I have stuck to only decorating the outside of our home with Halloween decor but this year since our daughter wanted to have a creepy sleepover party for her 7th birthday I decided to go a little yucky inside as well. All that mattered is that she loved it.

I tried to go with vintage medical items amongst some other things. There is nothing that creeps her out more than doctors, blood and finding out how people used to get treated at the doctor’s office a long long time ago. She is also obsessed with band aids. I constantly find wrappers and band aids everywhere. So I was trying to somewhat keep this modern and fresh. Hah, how fresh can you keep this yucky stuff, right? Here is what her party table looked like. Get ready for lots of pictures ๐Ÿ™‚

Click HERE if you want to read how I made the gallery wall.

Believe it or not but there is actually some meaning behind some of these items. I dare to say sentimental…LOL…check back for a post about what the heck I’m talking about ๐Ÿ˜‰

Next week I will talk about all the projects that were involved with this creepy dining room.

That’s not all yet though and I hope you won’t have trouble loading all the photos.

I worked on our living room as well. I’m such a fan of trying to keep it as cheap as possible and there is nothing better than going outside and picking up some greenery. Which I added all over the house. I didn’t want to get rid of my gorgeous orchids, so I just added some fall grasses, branches and leaves to them.

(Our sofa is the Claudia sofa from Macy’s by the way. Click HERE)
And last but not least our bedroom. I’ve added some fall to it as well.
This snuggler loved all the decor and had to check everything out.
I love my new  Aquamarine Schumacher Chiang Mai Dragon fabric bolster pillow I made.
Tons and tons of photos.
Did you make it all the way to the bottom?
{Update: click HERE and HERE for more Halloween decor and project links to the above photos.}
And like I said I will be talking about everything new that you spied in the next couple of days or weeks.
Don’t forget to check out all the other tours, next is Carolyn from Sweet Chaos House. Head on over to check it out tomorrow.
 Tschüß

OMGosh, Yikes! & Wow……. I love everything. Especially Lalka….. such a special addition that makes the room as far as I am concerned. I used to want a pure white kitty so bad… but now, I realize I can’t afford to feed any more than I have now. FIVE of my own and a little friend that has decided it is safe to rest and eat here and then the 3 canine kids….. well I have to stop somewhere.

Yes, she is a special addition. Nothing like snuggling with her on a cold dreary fall day. She is the boss of the house at 6lbs. Sounds like you have your hands full ๐Ÿ˜‰

Beautiful blog! Can you share a few paints colors: paint on the mantel wall; color of the coral mirror and color of the turquoise CL mirror. Thank you.

    • Julia Konya says

      October 6, 2013 at 9:23 pm

The color on the mantel was a Ralph Lauren silver sold at Home Depot but they stopped selling it. So upsetting because the colors were awesome. I told them. The metallics they have at Lowes are way to expensive and aren’t as nice.
The coral/orange mirror is Valspar’s Hacienda Tile and the turquoise mirror is Valspar’s Exotic Sea.

      October 6, 2013 at 11:45 pm

Thanks Sarah! It’s funny how much she is into the creepy stuff. She went nuts with the spiders everywhere. I vacuumed tons already, keep stepping on the and she put them on everything ๐Ÿ˜‰ But she’s having fun. Just wait until your little princess hits that age, it’s awesome!
While she has no clue who Dexter is, I enjoyed the little hint because I love the show.

I enjoy looking at photos of your beautiful home. That black and white throw–I love it! (Where did you get it?)

A few years ago, we happened upon a booth tucked away in the back of an antique mall that was decked out in vintage medical and dental items. They had set it up for Halloween and it was most frightening. It was amazing how creepy all that old surgical equipment was.

It looks as though you gave your little one a great party!

    • Julia Konya says

      October 7, 2013 at 9:27 pm

      Thank you!

The one throw is actually and H&M scarf. It’s just so big that I thought it could work as a throw.

And I agree I can’t imagine how it used to be to get a tooth pulled. It scares me to death.
