I’m so so sorry once again for my lack of posting lately. I have way too much going on over here and I just haven’t been able to do it all. We just returned from a fabulous annual weekend to Smith Mountain Lake. It always feels good to hang out with good friends, eat and drink the day away and watch our kiddos play. But to get to that point you have to pack and clean and plan and all that amongst dealing with our daughter’s issues and putting new floors in. Do I need to say more?
And next week I have a very big week coming up for me. I will be taking my citizenship test. I have waited for this moment for a long time and I’m so nervous and exited at the same time. So please forgive me if I’m not keeping up with my regular posting schedule right now.
While we were visiting our friends and their parents home at the lake I got a huge surge of inspiration when I saw Mrs. C’s wallhanging in her bedroom.
This gorgeous piece of macramé was purchased about 10 years ago and I have googled my heart out to possibly find something similar and I have been thinking about a way to DIY it. Isn’t it so different. I love the thick texture and and wrapped strings.
Almost exactly a year ago I posted about my newly found love for this retro/vintage form of wall art (click HERE to read it), when I posted these wallhangings sold by Urban Outfitters. But I haven’t added one to my home yet.
So now I have my wheels spinning on how to make something with so many strings and so incredibly textured. But I have to finish the flooring first, that is the hallway and both kids rooms and the carpet isn’t torn out yet either.
And I also got my dog fix this weekend by carrying this little cute fluffy girl around.
