Dream Home Look For Less
Ok I have been putting off todays post for way way too long. It’s almost been a year since I got to visit the 2015 HGTV dream home thanks to Delta Faucet. Can’t believe it’s been this long. And oddly enough it’s my second most popular post of all times. Yeah really! Go figures when someone else decorates the rooms, haha.
All joking aside though, I get so many questions about paint colors and furniture. So I’ve been wanting to create a post about it, addressing those questions I get per email.
All the furniture is available at Ethan Allen because they were a sponsor. Ethan Allen makes beautiful furniture but most people myself included try to shop at more affordable places, right?
And all the paint colors are from Sherwin Williams because they were also a sponsor. You can find the paint colors by clicking HERE.
So I also get asked a lot if there are cheaper ways to achieve the look, so I sat down and spent some hours browsing to find a look that is very similar but not exact, if you want the same exact thing, I guess you really have to shop at Ethan Allen. The yucky weather the past weekend was perfect for curling up on the couch with my cats and browse the internet for you guys.
So the first bedroom is this charming coastal boys room:
I didn’t find an exact match to the bed but the different options would look just as nice, just click through the photos. (You can click through the items on the errors of each side, the widget might take a while to load, I hope not too long though. Let me know if it takes too long):
And the master bedroom is definitely a favorite in the dream home:
All the furniture is available at Ethan Allen but you can shop a similar more affordable bedroom look by clicking HERE!
And last but not least the most popular room in the house. Look at this pin HERE, it’s been repinned more than 16000 times.
With those beds you probably have the best chance hunting on Craigslist and then painting your find. I did however find a bed at the Land of Nod which is pretty but not as chunky. But it is also less than half the price of the Ethan Allen bed which is $1,599.20. The Land of Nod Jenny Lind Bed (click HERE) is $599.00.
The biggest statement in that room are the striped walls which are of course pretty easy to recreate.
I hope I answered most of the questions that I keep getting. It is always possible to recreate a look for less. It might not be the exact same match but it will still look great.
I might do posts like this more often since I tend to get lots of questions about looks for less. They take a lot of time to put together but totally fun to do.

Yes, it was a ton of work and thanks so much! I hope it helps answer some people’s questions 😉
Love this-know it was a lot of work but I appreciate it!! Looks for less features are so helpful. The boy’s bedroom has my future living room colors so this is great for me!
Maybe I should do them more often.
That Jenny Lind bed is great and much more affordable than the original. I love this “Look for Less” post 🙂
Oh thanks, I’m glad you like it
I love the looks for less! I was wondering how did you created your mood boards?

Was wondering about stone on fireplace and fireplace doors. Can it be purchased
If so where. Thank you
