I’m back, I’m back! I don’t know if you realized that we were away, well you might have if you follow me on Instagram.

We went on our annual trip to Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. We have been going there since 1997 and we look forward to it every year.

It’s such a beautiful place and there has even been an episode on HGTV about the beautiful homes of Smith Mountain Lake and a “House Hunter” episode.
This year we stayed in the place below, which you can check out by clicking HERE and it is currently up for sale as well. BUT believe me it’s so far out of our league. Our friends rented it and we (for sure) would have never come up with the idea to rent a mansion like this. And that’s exactly what this place is, I mean it has two full sized kitchens that are bigger than my kitchen.
Check it out:

Isn’t it amazing?

The people who built and own the house owned a marble and granite business and you can totally tell throughout the entire house:

Don’t even ask about the insane steam showers and jet shower heads.

And there are amazing homes everywhere.

I also love the little tucked away cottages too. They are actually totally my style. Look at this little hidden getaway.

And there are also properties with happy cows along the waterline.

Happy kiddos along the waterline.
And happy mommies with their feet in the water and a drink in their hand.
And lets not forget about tubing:

Here are my two favorite photos:

My new zoom lens is awesome. Can you believe I took those photos from the dock? (this HERE is the lens I bought for my Nikon 5200) I truly couldn’t be happier with it. It’s not top of the line but well worth the investment to document all of our memories and I have taken full advantage of it during soccer games too.

The little Missy loves the tube but do you see that mean face when she realizes that the ride is done?

That look is scary and only a glimpse at what I usually deal with.

I hope y’all had a great Memorial Day weekend as well. What have you been up too?

Tschüß

It all looks amazing. And the little cottage did not look so little….. lol. I am glad you all had a great vacation. Did everyone do their laundry while there? I mean so you did not have to come home to piles of laundry to do? I know, only me could think of such a question.
