I want to share with you today some ideas I have for our bathroom makeover. Ever since I saw the drawer organizers they have Ikea for their Godmorgon vanity, I dreamed about putting it into our bathroom. The vanity is affordable and offers so much organized storage on a small scale which is what makes it perfect for our bathroom.

I mean check out these drawer inserts! They will make me so happy:

Like you know already, I’m trying to do this on a very tight budget and also reused our old tile to patch the hole where our old vanity was.

Here is the moodboard to show you how I’m envisioning things:

I know that I will get comments about my boring choice of white again. I was seriously debating between their light wood or the glossy white. But since I’ve always loved white and also love to change wall colors the glossy white won. The light wood vanity has a grain to it which is lovely but would make it  a little harder to paint should I get sick of it at some point. The glossy white is also so easy to wipe down.

I might still do a similar treatment to the tile like I did in our other bathroom. Click HERE to see the project if you missed it.

Update, click HERE to see the bathroom now.

I love THESE pendant lights sold on Etsy. Something like that would be perfect in our bathroom. I still have to get an electrician to hopefully make them a possibility.

You truly can’t beat the price of the Ikea vanities. It was a struggle to get one though since the I had to go twice. The first time they gave me the wrong vanity and sink. It wasn’t in the self serve area and they loaded the wrong one into my car. I was so mad. Over the weekend I got it assembled. Installed and my neighbor is working on the plumbing now.

So that’s it for today my friends.

That’s going to look so good friend! I don’t think white is boring at all. It’s chic. Everyone is doing colored cabinets right now, I say do what you love πŸ™‚ xo

Oh boy – I’ve successfully avoided Ikea ever since it opened in Denver, but now I’ll have to check this out. Bathroom remodel is on our list for this year.
Thanks so much for the tip!

Danke Esther. I also forgot to tell you that you should check out the cement tile shop if you need amazing and different tiles for your bathroom. I just couldn’t justify changing my tiles since they aren’t cheap but I sure would have loved to.

Yeah I thought they are affordable too and I love spending money on Etsy to support fellow little business owners.

Love the hanging lights and I totally think you made the right choice on the vanity.

Thanks, I think I did too. I know myself and wanting to change things up. The white is so versatile but the light wood would have been too, just like my downstairs floor.

Love your plans! Those lights are amazing – I think you should totally do the decals on the floor in here, they just totally transform the space πŸ™‚ xxx

I want to DIY lights like that but can’t find huge beads. I found some nice ones but they aren’t exactly what I wanted. And one of the doors on my vanity isn’t closing right. Ahhhh the pain of being a DIYer. I will put the stickers on the floor for sure.

I love this look! I am currently in the middle of a very small (4’x8′) full bathroom remodel, and I have actually picked out many similar things, specifically the IKEA vanity and sink. I love the look of that faucet, and it was my first choice too! Until, I read somewhere that bar prep faucets only allow for hot or cold water, not both. To be honest, I did not research it further as I was pressed for time, and needed to pick a something! (This all happened last night.) I am ultimately going with another faucet that I like pretty well, but it’s not the same. So, all of this to say, I could be wrong about that, but I figured that I would at least give you the heads up. Good luck with the remodel. Bathroom remodel are. no. joke.

Hi Jaclyn, I actually just installed the faucet last night and it works great. No issue with only hot or cold. This bar prep faucet is a winner.

I am so happy to be wrong! Especially when the outcome is a great faucet like that. I cannot wait to see the entire bathroom complete. πŸ™‚

We picked up the same vanity for our Main Bath remodel a few months ago. Now that the holidays are over, it’s finally time to start getting after that project! I can’t wait.
