Lehigh Valley Style Feature
I just want to share a recent magazine feature with you. If you remember in briefly mentioned it in THIS post in November that a local magazine came to my house to take photos.
It was for their March 2016 issue and it is finally out. I did however have no idea my living room would end up on their front cover or that it would end up being 9 pages long.
What makes it extra exciting for me is that I used to work for this publisher a long long time ago. It was actually 13 years ago when I was pregnant with my son and then stopped working because I wanted to stay home with him when he was born.
I scanned it all in for you not-local folks in case you are interested. I know my family in Germany is interested (haha) so maybe you care a little too.
Unfortunately my scanner isn’t all that good:
I got really really sick with the stomach bug Thursday night and it took me until late Saturday to actually feel better. And then on Sunday my son was just as sick as me. So I didn’t do too much over the weekend. I need to put my DIY pants back on and I’m still farting around with my taxes. I wish I’d have a special friend who could give me a helpful lesson on how to use it on my Mac. I run into so many problems and hate it.
Sorry that’s about it for today.

it looks amazing! and it is always fun to see a house through the lens of a different photographer!
Yes it is nice to have different photographers and thank you.
Congratulations …….a fantastic piece and to be on the “cover”….Wow. I know your family will be so so proud of you!

Patty
🙂 thanks, I wish my family wouldn’t have to read it through my blog and could see it in person.
Congrats Julia! That’s awesome!
Thanks Summer
So many photos! And the cover! Congratulations, you deserve it!
Thank you so much Tori
Help with your taxes on your Mac? I use Turbo Tax with mine and don’t have any problems, but I don’t import anything; I enter everything manually.
Yeah I need to upload a ton of stuff. And maybe I need a different accountant because mine only does Quickbooks 🙁
9 pages and the cover – WOW!!! Congratulations! That’s a fabulous feature, Julia! Enjoy! 🙂
Thank you so so much!
Wow, such a great spread! Congrats!!!
Thank you Ashley
I have a glass dining room table too. Any advice on keeping it clean? Your table always looks so nice and shiny. My cat is always jumping up on the table when I’m not looking and leaving piles of fur and little paw prints all over the glass. It drives me insane. I can never keep it clean!
Oh my gosh you have no idea! It’s not that clean at all. I just pull down my shades so the sun can’t shine on it LOL. My kids and their fingers are way worse than the cats walking all over it. Believe me when I say it is an optical clean illusion.
How amazing! Congratulations. Your home looks great in those pages
Thank you Veronica
Congrats!! Your looks fantastic as always and its fun to see the snippets about you and I love the pic of you sitting at your dining room table! PS: I hope your son & you are feeling much better!
Thank you Katrina and yes we are doing better. My son was finally able to eat a little today 😉
Congratulations – well deserved!
Thank you!
Julia, you are an inspiration, I just love your style and taste. Your parents and family must be very proud of you.
Francine
Thank you Francinne
Awesome!! You look gorgeous! That is a HUGE feature. And the cover!
Thank you Emily. I felt a tad bit awkward sitting there 😉
Julia congrats!!! I’m so happy to see your creative talents recognized like this! It’s a beautiful spread and fun to read (especially the part about how you had to go to a chiropractor after hanging crown moulding….I feel your pain!) Hope your family is all on the mend.
Thanks Lisa, I’m thinking about adding more crown molding upstairs in the bathroom 😉 Am I crazy?
What a nice spread – it’s interesting how much has already changed – particularly the art and the dining room chandelier.
Right? SO much has changed again! And thanks Luke
That’s so awesome, and the photos look amazing–congratulations!!
Thank you Gretchen!
