Christmas table setting with graphic patterns
Hey everyone, today I’m participating in another Christmas tour series that has been going on all week and is hosted by Jen of Migonis Home. You can see at the bottom of this post who else is participating. Today Just A Girl and Her Blog and Rooms FOR Rent are also posting so make sure to check them all out.
I didn’t share my dining room with you in my first Christmas home tour (click HERE) because I was waiting for my new custom chandelier to arrive. Thinking back now I don’t even know why it took me so long to finally pull the trigger. I had wanted this chandelier for a very long time but then because I’m thrifty thought I could possibly find a really cool vintage option at my local auction or Craigslist. I’m obsessed with German Emil Stejnar chandeliers, well a girl can dream right? That all never happened and in November I finally had enough and just splurged. Everyone loved my old one but I was just over it. We might move it over our bar though since we are giving our basement man cave an overhaul
I bought the chandelier on Etsy from this shop HERE where it gets custom welded. Isn’t that in itself really cool? It is actually surprisingly light and not heavy at all.
For those of you who were afraid that I eliminated all color from our home after seeing our living room decor, don’t worry, the dining room is still colorful enough. Since I purchased the vintage blue/grey settee at the auction, I wanted to leave some color in this room.
When it was installed I had fun with the table setting which was entirely inspired by these amazing plates Grande Zelda plates I got at Wayfair. That pattern is amazing sin’t it? The second one is actually a cheap melamine plate (click HERE), the third one is a charcoal standard plate (click HERE) with my regular gold chargers (click HERE). I placed the plates on a sparkling table cloth and some wrapping paper. The flatware is a vintage auction find and you can find a similar one HERE on Etsy. You can find similar throw pillows on Etsy HERE and HERE.
If you are wondering about my new curtains in the background then you can click over to the tutorial HERE or watch the below video:
And once again just to compare, this was last year’s Christmas dining room decor (click HERE to see the rest of the tour):

And this ends all the tours and Christmas decor for me this year. I hope you enjoyed it all. I feel like it’s time to chill for me now. To sit back and enjoy the holiday season with my little family. Oh and to shove a giant couch into the basement yet, yikes. I’m seeing a saw coming to my aid in the near future. Not even kidding!
Have a wonderful weekend. I’m having my annual neighborhood cookie exchange at my house tomorrow. So I’ll be prepping for that.

Thanks Ashley, those chairs are still on my list for a makeover. They need a nice coat of new paint from a professional and also some cushions. But that’ll hopefully happen in 2016.
Have a great weekend.
Oh that chandelier!! GASP. It’s just so knock-out!!! I adore it in your space and I’m sooooo happy you just went for it – I mean, we DIY and do everything on a budget so that every once in a while, we can splurge on something REALLY special, right?? And this, my love, is sooo special. Love it!! Also, those side plates – I die. Absolutely gorgeous as always.

They asked taht we comment for the contest, but this looks like the wrong place; anyway ~ if i won I would buy the Oxford Console Table because I need one and though inexpensive I like the design of it. I think I would paint it red though.
