Living Pretty With Your Pets: Dressing Rooms Interiors
It’s the end of the week and I’m ready for some cuteness. Are you too? Today I’m introducing you to someone that I absolutely love following on Instagram because she finds some amazing vintage pieces that she resells. Meet gorgeous Ariene from Dressing Rooms Interiors and her pup Mini.
Hi Cuckoo4Design aficionados! I’m Ariene and I am a blogger and shop owner of Dressing Rooms Interiors. I’m thrilled that Julia invited me to be apart of her fun series allowing me reflect on how much I love my Mini mayhem.
“Now, this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down and I’d like to take a minute just sit right there I’ll tell you how I became” pet mom of Mini aka Mini Mayhem (ending doesn’t rhyme but you get the point)!
Long story short, girl grew-up with dog, but mom took care of dog. Girl marries husband that doesn’t like dogs but never had a dog. Girl wants dog, girls gets dog = winning!
Although I wish the story was that simple, the girl that grew up with a dog didn’t realize how much work a puppy would be – my mom handled all that. And since we don’t have kids, my life was really flipped and turned upside down for this 6 weeks old pup. It was like having a new baby with every 2 hour feedings and everything!
I selected Mini not only because she was my favorite color combo (black and white) but because she had a lot of energy and liked to have a good time, well when she’s not asleep!
Posed for her close up |
Happy wife happy, life really applies here for sure. Since my husband wasn’t keen on having a dog I decided to let him name her so that he would have an attachment to her. He named her Mini not only because she was 3lbs when we got her, and after my pepper white and black Mini Cooper (which I love too).
Don’t mind me, I’m just taking a cat nap on your mouse pad.
Oh, are you trying to work? |
Mini is very much a lap no laptop dog! She hates when I work from home and is always snuggling and struggling to shutdown my keyboard activity. She also swats my cell phone from my hand when she wants attention. Many a day she is the only reason why I go outside and I love that she reminds me to take a break, get some fresh air and let her go to the bathroom.
Hubby calls her “Mini mayhem” because she is always up to something. Whether it’s hiding socks or dryer sheets, she loves a good chase around the house. She loves to hide treats in the creases of my cream sofa. And when she wipes her mouth on the sofa after she eats, I want to kill her every single time! I swear she is a paper scavenger and loves to find my receipts and tear them up. But in the words of my dear husband “she is the best money we ever spent.” I agree.

Mini is adorable! Love her little teeth, right?
And since you have seen a glimpse of Ariene’s gorgeous living room, I just had to share two more photos of it because it’s just gorgeous:
How awesome is the Ju Ju Hat fireplace?
And if you need someone new to follow on Instagram then click HERE to follow Ariene because this is what her feed looks like frequently:
Those black lacquer horned creatures are on my wish list and Ariene has them on her shelf did you spy them? I can just picture them on my mantel.
And look at her pop-up shop!!!
Have a great weekend my friends and see you on Monday.
