Kids Easter Eggs
This past weekend I finally added some Easter decor to our house.
I don’t do much for Easter, not like Christmas…but I love having a vase with some Spring branches, so I can hang eggs on them.
My husband blows out two eggs and the kids get to each paint or color one. I have one for every year since they started to do crafts and so we wouldn’t forget which year they were from I wrote the name and year on them. Well now they can write it themselves. I really like displaying their artwork and scribbles like that.
The vase with the spring twigs is less than desirable this year. I just couldn’t find any with flowers on them outdoors. Not even the flower shop had any! I guess the pussy willow branches will have to do for this year’s vase.
Here are some of their beautiful eggs.
They used watercolors or Sharpies

And this is the vase with the branches:
I added butterflies, ribbons, glass eggs…
… and regular pastel beaded eggs.
And you can’t forget about the Easter bunny
and our musical box from Germany:
You are probably thinking…shut up…stop rambling about the Easter eggs and tell us already who won the darn giveaway.
Well friends!

Congratulations! And sorry for everyone that wanted them too, I wish I would have enough free dots for everyone.
I’m thinking about adding them to my Etsy shop though by the end of the week.

i love the branches with eggs and butterflies!! their eggs are so cute!! my kids and i did eggs last weekend…. and sawyer wrote “i love mom” on one, and then emmy did, too. i feel loved.
Awww, how sweet! Those are always the best scribbles!
That’s a sweet tradition. So special 🙂 xo Kristin
Thanks Kristin!
I LOVE that idea! So cute. So maybe I am being dense this morning…but how do you hang them? Do you put something in the same hole used for blowing out the eggs? (clearly I have never done any ‘real’ Easter decorating!).
Well Kelly, I think I should have mentioned that…Shouldn’t I?
I cut a toothpick in half, attach a string to the center and insert it into the top hole. That’s it!
I figured it was something smart like that!
What a wonderful way for the kids to express their creativity! I love that everyone gets involved. 🙂
Thanks Karen!
I love your Easter tree! So cute!!!
Thanks Sarah!
What a sweet tradition, you’ll treasure their little masterpieces for years!
I know I will too. I hope I won’t brake any!
Great idea that you do this every year and they write their name and year! Your vase looks beautiful under your new light 🙂
Thank you so much!

Super cute! I’m always a fan of fun family traditions!
Thanks Michelle!
Your eggs are so sweet! That is one of my favorite things to do with the kiddos and I’m totally going to do the beaded egg! Great idea! But, I must say that as cute as your eggs were, I couldn’t help but go back to your honeycomb fixture!?!?! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! 😉 Jesse @ Scout & Nimble
LOL, I love the fixture so much too! I look at it all the time, not kidding!
I still need to do eggs with my kids. I love your tree with the buttefly and beaded egg.
Thanks Crystal
Love the eggs and I love my dots! They arrived today. It was so fun to get your message that I won on my birthday! woot!
Can’t wait to see what you do with them!
This is seriously the coolest thing. I love it and plan to do it with Henry this year. I wish I would have thought to blow out the confetti eggs when we made them. Thanks so much for the idea. I love that you can display them every year.
