Summer Home Tour
It’s time for Blogger Stylin Home Tours Summer Edition! And welcome to all of you coming from my friend Lindsay’s at The White Buffalo Styling Co. and the host of this awesome series. I love her unique and beautiful home and I hope you will feel at home in mine too. If you aren’t new around here then you have seen the changes I made inside for this summer like my pink dresser makeover and black and white striped mirror. What you haven’t seen is the numerous white square planters I splurged on at Homegoods and that I filled with tropical plants. This year I decided to go big with the planters so I could move them outside to the patio when it’s nice enough and hopefully back inside in the wintertime if they live that long. You just never know with my ability to kill plants.
The majority of the living room is still the same because I love it just the way it is!
Yup that’s my son lounging on the couch in one of his favorite soccer jersey’s. And it’s pink! Can you guess in the comments what team it is? Hint it’s not American.
I’m also so proud of my first set of peonies. I just planted them last year and they look so good this year.
In case you are new around here the throw is by Happy Habitat and I love it.
I made the curtains myself and you can find the tutorial HERE.
And the how to video below:
You can find the above nesting tables HERE and a similar pink velvet pillow HERE.
I bought more of my favorite animal plates for the summer. I pink flamingo in a hat?!? Of course, why not?
A shark in a bikini? Yes please!
No changes in the bedroom except that I put the BeniO back into it. You can see more photos of the bedroom by clicking HERE

I’ve decided to give away this miniature German Cuckoo clock (yup made in Germany) this week and all you have to do to enter is pin from my blog through the below rafflecopter. No email sign-up or follow anywhere, just pin, pin, pin! (Did you know that pinning is one of the biggest favors you can do for a blogger besides maybe sharing a post on Facebook? Well it is and so so appreciated)
In case you want to sign-up for emails and receive one of my abstract pieces of art for FREE to print then you can do so by clicking HERE. Good luck and check back on Thursday for my turn in Marty’s Summer Home Tours which is also going on this week.
Tschüß,

everything looks amazing, julia! i LOVE how clean and fresh the dining room looks at the moment. it’s perfect! and your living room is beautiful as always- loving the pale pink.
Gosh your home is stunning! So inspiring, Julia!
Thanks so much Julie
Your house is always so bright and airy, looks like summer all the time but all the pops of pink say summer even more. Beautiful as always. I have that same little cuckoo clock, one of my first purchases from an antique shop when we first moved to Germany, I painted mine pink and have it in my sewing studio but I would gladly have another. They are such cuties.
Thanks so much Maggie. I’m sure it looks super cute in pink.
I love your home – it’s so whimsical and I need a shark in a bikini plate! I have your rug in my sunroom and love it – happy summer!
LOL they should make a whale in a bikini for me 😉
So gorgeous as usual and I’m loving all the touches of blush pink. It just looks so GREAT with black and white xxx
That’s the nice thing about black and white, almost everything looks good with it 😉 Thanks my friend
Just a sitting on my patio with my coffee and READING BLOGS! Gosh I love summer. Love how you mixed it up and of course the pink with the neutrals. Happy Summer! xo
Julia, I always love your use of black and white so much! Add in those pops of pink and my fave, PLANTS, and you killed it, my friend! Love your gorgeous home! Thanks so much for joining in 😉
Thanks Lindsay!
I love the big planters! Looks beautiful!
Vielen Dank Esther 🙂
Julia, this is fabulous!! LOVE the flamingo plate with the hat! (Actually love them all!) That bamboo flatware is to die for, I think I need that too! Haha! Christmas in June maybe? I have the same rug at the beach cottage. You are my black and white twin for sure!
xo
Yes you need that too. Isn’t that rug the best? So versatile and easy to care for. Black and white forever
I just made a massive shopping list based on your post! Obsessed with that black and white mirror and that ombre tassel. So beautiful, Julia!
Wait until you see all the other items in that tassel shop. I want everything in it.
I’m so impressed that you made those curtains yourself. I’m a lover of all things pink and black so of course I love your entire house. Can’t wait to see how it changes for fall.
Jenn
Thanks so much Jenn
So gorgeous Julia! Your attention to detail is insane!!! Love the cuckoo clock giveaway too! My grandma had one her whole life and it reminds me of her growing up!
Thanks Summer, love your home too
Julia, I love your home! The bold colors and eclectic styling is beautiful. Love the cuckoo clock giveaway. I lived in Germany for 6 years and my family has a few of them, but I for some reason have yet to be given one. lol. Thanks so much for the giveaway.
It’s really hard for me to let this little clock go but I don’t really think I need to hoard a 4th clock 😉 And thanks so much Stephanie.
I so love your monochromatic neutral palette with pops of vibrant pastels. It’s something I’d never normally gravitate towards but it’s just SO good when you do it! Is the jersey German? I am terrible with sports things!
Thanks Corinna! And nope the Jersey isn’t German it’s Italian and I think the only city in the world who has a pink Jersey. It’s the Jersey of Palermo. We have friends in Germany who are from Palermo.
Your home is so glamorous! Every room is stunning!
Thanks so so much Jessica
oh my goodness! How are your peonies that gorgeous already – I only had a few this year, teach me your secrets!!
I felt like mine took forever to bloom and I don’t have a secret. Just planted them last year and am happy to see that they did so well with my not-so-green thumb 😉
Your house is just lovely. I love that you are not afraid of pink! Can you give the source for your coffee table in the living room? It’s gorgeous! Thank you
Thanks so much! I got the coffee table at a thriftshop for $25. One of my best finds ever.

I’m smitten blush pink, and love it with your black and white! Every single room is gorgeous, and the way you’ve incorporated colors that flow from room to room is perfect!
So beautiful, as always. That cuckoo clock is ADORABLE. I actually saw one at the salon where my girls got their hair cut yesterday and thought of you 🙂
Love that you thought of me 😉 and thanks

I’ve met my soul sister! I love your style and so many of the details in your home are things I would love to have in mine. Beautiful job. <3 May I ask where your coffee table is from? It's stunning!
Julia! I want to live in your backyard! Seriously. It’s fantastic! And your home is gorgeous as always! It’s a late visit, but I finally made it here:-) Xoxo
I absolutely love your entire house. I am changing things up from reds, golds, browns to black and white. A little at a time. Where is your round white end table from?
Thanks so much Rhonda. The table is actually an old one from Bombay Company which doesn’t exist anymore. I linked to a very similar one in the post. At least I think I did. Let me check 😉
Your house is so inspiring… the perfect blend of comfort, nature and creativity.
Hi Julia!
I just love your house. Can I ask where you found the rug in your living room?
Hi April, I am not sure which one you mean, the black and white one or colored one. On this page https://cuckoo4design.com/shop-my-home/ you can find items in my home and both rugs are on it. And thanks so much!
