Pink, Orange and Gold Box Makeover
I have a little DIY to share with you today. If you follow me on Instagram then you have seen a little sneak peak. But it all started with this box that I have sitting under my coffee table. It houses all our remotes. It was still pretty, don’t get me wrong but it started to scream “boring”.
See it sitting under the table? I’m sure you never even really noticed it! Am I right? |
Well I’m sure you’ll notice it now, because I gave it a little makeover.
I have been drawn to colors that I would wear more and more and the color combo that I used for the box is just one of those things.
First I removed the hardware and of course spray painted it gold, couldn’t help myself!!!
Then I taped the top off and spray painted it with Valspar’s Frosty Berry (pink). After that I spray painted the bottom with Rustoleum’s Gloss Protective Enamel Orange.
And this is what the box looks like now. I can’t stop looking at it to be honest.
Are you feeling the pink and orange like I do?
Talk to you on Friday my friends.

Thank you so much Tiffany. That just made my day 😉
You’re so right…it has so much more impact now! And why does gold spray paint make EVERYTHING better??
LOL, 3 years ago it didn’t make everything better but now it does 😉
Great little change. It really give the pop to the coffee table. love it.
Thanks Ashley I thought so too but my husband just informed me that he never even noticed….uh men!
i really love that! so simple, but so fun!
I think so too Cassie and thanks!!!
I’m so on board with the pink and orange! Was the hardware just glued on, and you popped it off? It’s the perfect lively addition to your room!
Thanks! And no the hardware was heavy duty metal screwed in from the inside. Much better than glueing.
It’s really cute!
Love it Julia! Love the color combo. It adds the perfect pop of color to the room!

Love it! Can you tell me where you found that box?
Hi, it is from HomeGoods
I absolutely love your coffee table. Where is it from?
Hi Melissa, I hate to tell you that it is from a thrift shop and I bought it for $25 🙂
Does anyone know where I can find this box or hardware?
I bought it a long time ago at HomeGoods
