Our new stock tank swimming pool in our sloped yard

Supplies and Materials

- stock tank pool - pump - filter sand - waterproof caulk - pool liner - clamps - bamboo fence

This is the hill we started with and where we only had a small area that could work for a tiny pool.

Then he added paver base sand, leveled and tampered it to prep for the tank placement.

We were able to get the pool home from the Tractor Supply Company with a trailer and some straps.

It's a good thing that the stock tank is light and easy to maneuver. With the help of a friend we placed it into the dug out hill.

How to add the pool liner

I added the liner like you would line a trash can with a bag and kept it in place with some clamps

After that I added the pump connections and hoses to the stock tank and filled it for a test run.

To make it all look prettier, I added a bamboo fence around the stock tank perimeter.

We used 2B stone to backfill the pool area to avoid backwash and drainage. After that we added a rock retaining wall for the rest of the hill.

Lastly we added lots of plants and voila we have our own stock tank swimming pool oasis.
