  3. Oh, how I would love to have a basement! You’ve done such a good job of making it light and bright. Love your porch!

    1. Thanks Jennifer, I still need to tackle the other side of the room and put up more shelving. Probably won’t happen until the fall though.

    1. Thank you so much Corinna

  4. Julia, I’ve been reading your blog for so long and I never knew you were a Steelers family! LOL! I live in Pittsburgh so that first image caught my eye in the Bloglovin preview! I’m not a big sports fan, but it amazing how you can find Pittsburgh fans every where you go.

    1. Oh really? you live in Pittsburg! Cool! My husband is a huge Steelers fan. I’m indifferent to football and all other sports unless my kids or their friends are in it 😉 He’s happy to have a Steelers cave.

  5. I love these spaces, Julia! I always am so in love with your living room. You do neutrals so beautifully! But I am loving that man cave! You’ve done such an awesome job infusing pretty style into a space like that 🙂 Thanks so much for joining!!!

    1. Thanks so much for having me again Lindsay. My hubby really wanted a typical mancave and I’m glad that he let me put it together and I think he is too.

  6. Esther Books says:

That is the best looking mancave I have ever seen!

  7. As with the rest of your home, the mancave is perfect, stylish and comfortable.
The porch looks amazing – looking forward to learn all about it.
    xx

  8. Your porch turned out so great! Can’t wait to hear the details :). And I love your little anger pillow–so funny!

  9. I just want to curl up on that beautiful couch! You made a man cave look absolutely beautiful! Cannot wait to hear your hanging trick!

    Really beautiful.

  11. This looks like such a fun space Julia! I wish we had a basement!!

  12. Scott is ALL OVER ME about building a bar as part of the basement project. Why don’t you use yours much anymore? I’m on the fence about it. Did you put a sink in? I want to see more of your crafting space!! Love the way those stripes came out, can’t wait to see more!!

Seriously, love this space! I love that this space is functional, warm yet perfect for family time. Plus, I could actually see our basement turning into this space eventually.

    1. It’s nice to have and be able to close the door when it is messy. Thank you

    1. Thank you Aniko, I still have to blog about the bar. Maybe this will push me to do it finally

  14. You’v done a great job with this space, Julia! (I better not let my husband see it or he’ll wonder why I never did something even half as good in his basement. Lol)

    1. Thanks Heather, what is it with men and mancaves?

  15. Anger pillow lol. I could use one of those. Love the evolution of this space J!! It doesn’t have the feel of a typical basement, you’ve made it so bright and airy yet cozy chic.

You know I’d take advantage of that bar area 😉

    1. I’d love to use the bar with you 😉

  16. Is it weird that I am most impressed y that huge grid of frames?! They are so perfectly aligned and I would never have the patience to do that! The basement looks great…my sons and husband would love down there. And I am in love with your striped floor!!

    1. Believe me there was no patience needed to hang these type of frames. So so easy! And thanks so much, the boys tend to love basements like this which is so odd 😉

  17. What a fun hang out spot for your basement! Love the gallery wall! That’s so cool that your son plays the drums too! Do you walk around with ear plugs on? Haha! So fun being on this tour with you!
    xo

    1. Thanks Shauna! I should walk around with ear plugs but I don’t 😉

  18. What a great idea to hang all those magazines! That would totally intimidate me, but you nailed (ha!) it! And had to laugh about the ‘good ole days!’ 🙂

    1. Thanks Megan, it really wasn’t hard at al to hang them.
