  1. i love her room, too, but i can see dark teal working really well with that rug and maybe she will love the rug again! and the floors…. i would be putting that off, too! eeek!

      1. Now she might pick something completely different. Lets see 😉

    1. Now we are going to try out swatches of all kinds of different colors. Yellow, blue and teal…so lets see 🙂

  2. Yeah, kids will send you over the edge. With my own daughter, we compromised on one dark purple wall with three Andy Warhol prints like these.

    Gray comforter and we’re done.

    1. Yes they sure can. I had Andy Warhol prints in my room too as a teen. So fun

  3. I love your daughter’s room, too! When we redid our daughters room she later confessed she didn’t like her light blue wall color and wanted something darker. She didn’t tell me then cause she didn’t want to hurt my feelings. By the way her room is still light blue, lol.

    1. Awww that is so nice of her though. My daughter doesn’t care about that. She says whatever comes to her mind LOL. “I’ll help you paint though mom” is what she said and that might not be very helpful at all 😉

  4. Oh boy, I can relate! I haven’t done a super huge redo of either of my daughter’s rooms, but smallish things like buying rugs (not super expensive, but still, expensive enough), new bedding, etc. and it seems like a few months pass and then they want new, new, new! So for her bat mitzvah, I agreed to a big redo, new paint, new bed, new artwork etc., but told her this one is it. Any new changes from here on out will be on her dime. We’ll see how long that lasts, but hopefully mot thing will stick and she’ll just want to change up the smallish things.
And I agree with the others, maybe once the teal goes up, it will give her room a new feel and she’ll be happy with the rug again.

    1. My daughter agreed to chip in and buy some things form her piggy bank money which is nice and she is already pretty good at making financial decisions and is tight with her money. So I know this is something that is really dear to her heart because she is willing to spend her own money.

  5. Ahh, the to do list never ends! I’d love to replace my front door too but the one I’d love is about 2K, guess I’ll be saving for a bit. Deep breaths on the daughter debates. Mine is 17 and heading off to college in a few months but the teen years definitely brought out a few occasions where I wanted to ring her sweet neck!

    1. Oh yes! The doors I’m in love with are all way too much money.

  6. Sounds like lots of big projects on the horizon. And maybe you’ll love her room even more when you are done. (And hopefully she’ll love it, too, and keep for years to come.)

  7. Marianna Alpaslan says:

Her room is gorgeous. You did such a beautiful job .
I have long given up arguing with the style of my daughter’s room. I let her design it. Most of the time it is a total opposite from what I envisioned…
On an other note, if you are selling the rug I want it😘😘😘

    1. LOL the rug is staying 😉 We compromised
