Random Updates and October Recap
I worked my derriere off on Tuesday and I was almost done when I ran out of brass nails. I only have one third left to do. I hate when this happens. I want to finish something so badly but can’t. And I couldn’t just go to the store to pick up the brass nails because I had ordered them online since I wanted larger ones then the ones they sell at Joann’s. I ordered some more and now have to wait (who knows how long) for them to come. Ugh!
And speaking of things in the mail. Another Instagram update was the fact that I bought more animal plates at West Elm which I ended up hanging on my kitchen wall with the H&M plates and my DIY Pierro Fornasetti plates (click HERE) but I also bought some more H&M plates which have been lost in the mail since October 11th. Great right? Maybe someone is trying to tell me that I have enough now and need to stop. I will take the hint 😉
And here is my recap for October:
I wish you guys a happy and productive weekend. Talk to you on Monday!

I hate that feeling of not being able to finish a project, can’t wait to see your daughter’s headboard! Do you have a trick for how you kept the nail heads so even and straight? I haven’t been brave enough to do individual ones yet. Also, I really like how you did your recap 🙂
I hate when you can’t finish stuff even though you have the motivation! Annoying. Your October was busy! (Which reminds me, I need to recap September and October. Fail. :P)
I can’t wait to see the headboard! Making one’s for my older daughter is one of my (many) to-do’s once we get into the new house!
Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday! I could skip Christmas.
Can’t wait to see that headboard! Have a great weekend.
i was a little out of the loop this week with too much going on…. so this is my first time with that sneaky peeky and i looooooooove it.
Can’t wait to see that headboard! And I love how you put together those hexagonal pictures for your recap! It looks awesome! 🙂
Your projects are just as much as that cool layout!! That headboard looks fabulous already!! Happy weekend, Julia!
Love the headboard so far. And I loved the skull art from earlier this month!
Ok, this post is full of “how’d you do that?” questions! I’ve never seen anyone get individual nailheads that straight…do tell! Also, those are the perfect gold color…source? And, I love your review collage! How did you do that? 🙂
Can’t wait to see the finished headboard. Where is the headboard from been trying to find one now for a year. thank you Mignonne
I made the headboard 😉
Thank you, are you going to do a how to. My daughter really needs a headboard. Love your blog Mignonne Bakker

I also love the honeycomb design for your recap collage – you’re so creative!
Super great recap and I have no doubt you’ll be busier this month and even more the next month and like all of us moms/bloggers/etc in January we’ll vow to slow down!! You’re so talented! I enjoy reading your blog every day!! Have a great weekend!
What a great month! Love the design of the recap too. Beautiful content as always!
Argh–that’s the frustrating thing about ordering things online, isn’t it?! Sometimes waiting is hard. Can’t wait to see the finished project!
That headboard! Those plates!
Too much pretty in one post.
Hoping those other plates get to you soon? I’ve actually never had that happen, and I’m a crazy stalker of tracking online.
You have been busy! Oooohh…. Once I get an idea in my head I want it done, so I understand your disappointment of waiting for those railheads!
🙂 that headboard looks beautiful Julia!
hope you had a beautiful weekend!
