gray bamboo hardwood floor called Pearl City Click Bamboo
Hey there, I’m glad you are back to see the rest of my flooring reveal of the gray bamboo hardwood floor called Pearl City Click Bamboo. In case you missed it, HERE is our master bedroom (more HERE and HERE to find out why I chose the Pearl City Click Bamboo from Lumber Liquidators and how I put it in.)
My daughter’s bedroom is clearly a favorite of mine to photograph due to the light and I couldn’t resist again this time. I love it even more now with the new flooring:

Update: Her room looks more like this now
You can download my daughter’s vintage paint-by-numbers on Etsy HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.
And the little one loves it too if you can’t tell:
My son’s room is a little harder to photograph because it is darker but it looks really great in here as well:
One of my next larger projects (possibly after summer break) will be fixing the stairs that are still covered in the same yucky carpet. Painting them with people having to walk up and down non-stop will be quite the issue, but it needs to get done.
So are you guys still completely hooked on dark hardwood floors or could you see yourself getting light flooring as I did?
(You can read more about my daughter’s room HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE is how I made her headboard)

they both look amazing! i especially love it in lily’s room- so beautiful!
Thanks Cassie, I love it in Lilly’s room the most too. It’s perfect for her colors.
The floors are perfect! I have and will always have light floors. You did a great job installing them!
Me too, I don’t see myself ever picking dark flooring.
It looks so great in their rooms! The color is awesome and just perfect choice for your style.
Thanks Jennifer. I’m so glad I went with this color.
I absolutely love what you did with this room. I usually will opt for dark flooring but I think the light flooring you chose is gorgeous! I’m looking to replace the hardwood floors throughout my house and may consider going light bc dust shows a lot on dark flooring. I think it’s the modern size of those wood planks that make a big difference. Most colors will look good in that modern style. Great job!
The dust is a major reason for me to always go light besides loving the way it looks. Thanks so much!
Again I have to say it’s fantastic. I almost wish my carpet was worn and dirty so I could convince MC to replace it! I will keep this in the back of my mind when the time comes.

I have always leaned towards light flooring, it just looks so modern and clean and seems to brighten things up. Makes me want to redo my whole house, but I probably have some of the original flooring from the early 1900s still in here, so I like that history. Great job. Can’t wait to see the stairs. I want to redo our stairs leading to the basement but am nervous that the project will be much more difficult than I would imagine.
Having such old floors is cool and I love the history too. And yeah those steps are scary for sure. Lets see 😉
Your light floors are absolutely perfect in your home, Julia! I can’t believe you installed everything yourself… bravo!
It looks SO good! So fresh, clean and coastal! LOVE IT! And congrats today!
love it! I used to think I wanted dark hardwoods, but I’ve heard so much about how hard it is to keep them looking clean, especially with pet hair everywhere, that I’m pretty well converted to lighter wood 🙂
Perfect…everything!
I’m loving the lighter look. Of course the rooms are so gorgeous on their own, so any flooring would look amazing. But you made the best choice for the house!!
Love them! I’m confused on the stairs though…why not use the same flooring?
Your floors are beautiful! So fresh and light. Are they hard to clean? Do they show a lot of dirt? I’m thinking of going lighter on my floors but don’t need added cleaning. ha! 😉
It’s quite the opposite. The reason I go light and I’ve said it many times is because it’s so much easier to keep clean. Did you ever notice how much dust you can see on dark wood furniture? It drives me nuts! And it’s the same with dark wood floors. It shows every hairs and dust particle but the light floors camouflages the light dust. I love it
So pretty! It really shines in every room!
Thank youb
So stunning, Julia!!!! They look extra gorgeous in this room.
Thanks so much
Perfection, every photograph makes me want to whip out that credit card faster ha!
Haha thanks Trisha
I’m neither a dark nor light floor kind of person, but I actually really like these! It’s amazing you’ve done so much work!
Thanks so much Corinna. I’ve always been a light floor girl
Gah! They look amazing! LOVE your sons bed!
Thanks Erika, the bed is one of my best antique finds ever
Really nice. Timber floors are always nicer, in my opinion than floor tiling.
