Praying that it is pre menopause Julia. Only can imagine how difficult it is with that condition.

    1. Thanks Kathleen, it’s so hard not to think and worry about something that is constantly there and making you feel uncomfortable.

  2. Also consider a Chiropractic adjustment, there are several things they can do to help ear problems. My Mom had some issues and it was resolved in three visits.

    1. Oh yeah, that’s a good point. I was thinking about that yesterday.
I’m a little scared of the chiropractor because the last time he adjusted my neck a couple of years ago I couldn’t see right for about two hours. It scared me to death.

Hi Julia, Sorry for what you are dealing with. I too have had that experience when I wake up and sit up. I can hear a swishing sound, and it goes away when I start to walk. I do not have it all the time, just occasionally. I have had severe vertigo off and on for a few years, so I think it may be connected to that . I take medicine for the vertigo, and do exercises. I still hear a popping sound in my ear sometimes, but my vertigo has subsided. Hope you find out what is causing it. Sometimes things just go away on their own, but it is good to have it checked out. Acupuncture may help.

Ugh–I’m sorry about your ear; that sounds awful! Ari has tinnitus, but it’s a ringing kind of thing not a swooshing, and it only happens occasionally. Hope you get some good answers soon!

  8. I know there are naturel remedies for tinnitus but I don’t remember what they are. I would find a homeopath or a Neuro Emotional Therapist if it were me. Dr. are great for putting back together a broken arm but as soon as we are talking inner workings they usually suck. They are sometimes good at finding a diagnosis but I wouldn’t use them for treatment. I hope you get good news. Hugs!
