First of all I wanted to mention that my comments haven’t been working. So thanks to all of you who might have left comments on the last three posts (yup that many). The reason why I haven’t responded is that I didn’t get them. So frustrating. It took me a while to figure it out that the commenting didn’t work. I just thought my posts were that awful that nobody wanted to say anything.
So here are some favorites:
I get a lot of questions about items in my home and one of the top items on the list of questions is the black and white throw in my daughter’s room. It’s her actual baby blanket which I bought before she was born because I’ve always loved black and white. Since I consistently receive questions about it, I kept looking for similar options and have never came across anything similar until now. Yay!
Isn’t THIS throw amazing? It could make a great gift too.
And it doesn’t stop there, guess what? There’s a duvet cover like it too which you can find HERE. I’m considering it for my daughter. I just love it so much.
Then I was just thinking the other day that giving Amazon Prime as a gift (click HERE) to someone is a great idea too. If you’ve been following me for a while now then you know that I’m obsessed with Amazon Prime and the two-day shipping but not only that, I love streaming their videos too. I just caught up on all the episodes of Vikings. I love that show. Who wouldn’t love the gift of an entire year of two-day free shipping and all the other perks that come with it? I actually got sucked into it when I signed up for the 30-day free trial (click HERE). You can sign up and take advantage of the perks during the Christmas season. Of course I stuck with it because I love it and it’s been worth it for us but you don’t have to if you don’t like it. No more running around and driving from store to store to find items you can’t beat that though.
Random obsession of mine is black licorice, most of all salted black licorice! I know I’m strange. And I finally found some German black licorice for sale on Amazon too which I order all the time now from an Amazon store called myGermanCandy. It’s so good (click HERE), that brand has an even stronger one which I order sometimes too (click HERE) and the center is filled with salt. Or THIS “Salvage Heringe” licorice candy is amazing too, it’s covered in salt LOL! It takes forever to get here though because it comes directly from Germany. My kids hate it and my husband actually likes it. Who else here loves licorice? I already liked it as a kid.
So enough about my licorice obsession, my point is you can find some good unusual candy here that might make a great Christmas present too. Who doesn’t like getting candy. I know you’ll make me really happy with a load of licorice.
And lastly something I’ve been wanting to quickly blog about for a while now is that I fixed my first iPhone. I was so proud and my son called me “the GOAT” (greatest mom of all times). Now that’s a title I like to have.
Let me explain. Someone stepped on his wrestling bag at practice which had his iPhone in it. And it was crushed. We had just gotten it fixed at the mall and I paid the $120 for them to replace the glass.
This time it wasn’t just the glass, the screen had lines everywhere and you couldn’t read a thing. I refused to spend another $120 at the mall or to get him a new one. So he bought a screen replacement (click HERE) with his piggybank money through me off of Amazon. I figured it was worth a try.
I sat down and watched numerous youTube videos on how to replace the screen and went to work. It was quite nerve-wracking and I’m not going to lie, it wasn’t easy. But when he did the test and turned it on, it worked. Yay. This was several month ago and it’s still working and now I’m the GOAT!
So my point is. You can give it a try too. It’s doable before you throw your phone out or pay someone else to do it. A steady hand will go a long way. There are a lot of different screens out there but I just wanted to let you know which one worked for us and I can give it a definite good review after several months. And next I will fix my hubby’s phone.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me, everyone is offering all these pretty gift guides and I come with ugly iPhone photos and black licorice!?!?! I can’t let this post end like that can I? So lets talk about some pretty Christmas tours (mine are coming next week). Have you been following along with any of the many blog hops? Any favorites I should check out?
I have seen a lot of different ones and I love all the variety out there. Some of my favorites with total different styles were:
As always 1. Michael from Inspired by Charm (click HERE) | 2. Rachel of Shades of Blue Interiors (click HERE) | 3. my friend Jennifer at the Chronicles of Home (click HERE) and 4. and my friend Kelly Elko (click HERE, oh and her puppy Sushi is my neighbor’s dog’s daughter by the way. Isn’t she the cutest?)
I added my favorite items of 2016 to this link HERE and I’ll keep adding to it should I think of anything else.
Have a wonderful weekend. I know we will because we are heading to NYC ballet for the Nut Cracker with the kids. I can’t wait.
