Wood beads aren’t really all that cheap on Etsy and Amazon and they sure aren’t widely available either. So the other day when I was looking at my chaise in our bedroom and saw the feet I had a light bulb moment. And I went to google around.
So here is what I came up with and you can make it as big and have as many varieties of wood pieces as you want.
DIY huge wood bead garland

What you need:
• large wood beads HERE, HERE and HERE or any other ones you can find
• different furniture legs HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE or the ones in mine look like a modern peg leg.
• wood stars HERE
• strong twine HERE
• power drill HERE
• long thick drill bit HERE or HERE
If you are buying legs or beads from Etsy then you can just ask the shop owner to maybe drill the holes for you all the way through the leg. If you are buying from a home improvement store then you need to remove the screw and drill the holes yourself with the long drill bit.
Thread the legs and beads onto the twine and hang the stars randomly and voila. You have a DIY huge wood bead garland.
Here is a sneak peek of where the garland ended up this year. And I love it there!
Or you can use the unfinished wooden furniture legs and beads to make you own wood bead pendant like I have in our kitchen (click HERE for post):

And if you aren’t the DIYing kind and rather just buy the finished product then you can find smaller similar versions:
As for me I love a huge chunky version. Mine is super heavy though but I was able to hang it with strong command hooks (HERE).
