After reviewing my 2017 posts and looking at the analytics which don’t lie, I definitely noticed that the personal confessions and simple how to tutorials did the best with you guys.
You all definitely loved my powder room makeover which I mentioned above. But my most popular post was my confession about the truth behind our small house which you can read HERE if you missed it. The reactions were mostly positive and I love connecting with you guys on this level and hearing from you in my comments and per email. It’s what keeps me going with this little blog.
Some other confessions were my posts with lots of ugly photos about #therealstoryathome were I showed some behind the scene messes and unfinished projects (#3 click HERE to read the post) and also my personal skin post. It really wasn’t easy to share. (#4 click HERE to read)
The most pageviews and shares were received on a very unexpected post. I never thought that my painting tips and tricks would get such a buzz with you and especially on Pinterest but it did. (#1 click HERE to read). I love posts with pretty photos but I guess most people just really care about great tips. Hopefully I can come up with some more posts like this.
Some other really popular posts were my tip about how to make sconces shine brighter (#5 click HERE to read), how to re-stuff a pouf ottoman the easy way (#6 click HERE to read) and how I keep my cats occupied (#2 click HERE to read).
It appears that photos really aren’t all that important even if they usually are my favorite part.

Lets close the chapter of 2017 which has had it’s struggles for me. It was a challenging year. For me especially when I turn on the television and listen to politics which always tries to drag me into a depression. I’ve told you guys before that this little blog of mine is a way to keep my brain distracted from all the things I don’t want to think about.
I’m looking forward to 2018 and what that year will bring. I’m scared of the changes and shifts in blogging but not ready to give up.
So cheers to a new year my friends and ….
