Monkey update and a Friskies giveaway
Hi guys, last week was a bad one for our Monkey like I mentioned in my post last Wednesday and on Facebook but things are looking a little better for her. She has kidney disease, a bladder infection and the vet suspects pancreatitis. She had lost about three pounds which is a lot for such a tiny cat and now only ways about 5.9 pounds. Her bones are sticking out everywhere and she looked so sick and sad.
(This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Friskies Pull ’n Play for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.)
With a lot of love and help from our vet with fluids, steroid injections, pain meds, appetite stimulant, antibiotics and a vitamin B injection she started feeling better. Now the next step is to fatten her up a bit again and to spoil her and her step siblings rotten. You just never know how much longer she has to live, I couldn’t resist taking the offer from Friskies to send me a Christmas stocking filled with treats and a new released toy. And guess what you guys can win one too today. My cats already eat canned Friskies wet food that I buy at our local BJs in large packs so I knew they’d love it.
This new toy which is called the Friskies Pull ’n Play and has edible strings that you can attach to it and a belly that you can fill with treats. Perfect gift for our  Monkey who is way too skinny. And our white Lucy can use a couple of extra pounds as well since she’s had to take appetite stimulants numerous times for her irritable bowl syndrome.
You simply unscrew the top and fill it with the Friskies party mix.
And then you take the edible strings and insert them into the top so the cats can play and eat. I mean which cat doesn’t like strings right?
Here are Monkey and Lilly checking out their new toy:
Lilly cat is enjoying playing with the strings big time.
And this little skinny one was going a tad bit crazy with the treats and you are also getting a glimpse of our tree in the background:
And Monkey was joining in with the treats as well and filled up her belly:
Licking her pink lips because it was so good.
There is also a little Wobbert game the kitties can play on any tablet by batting at the screen.
You can find it HERE.
Are you someone who puts a little something into the stockings for the furry family members as well?

so glad monkey is feeling better!
I’m glad to hear that Monkey is doing a bit better, Julia. Hopefully she’ll get her appetite back without taking meds soon and will gain some weight.
Julia you take such beautiful photos! Glad to hear Monkey is doing better poor baby. Do the cats play the game on the tablet? That is so funny!
That is the cutest thing! My 3 cats would have a field day with that.
Yes of course our TJ gets treats for Christmas, he’s one of the family!!
My pets (1 cat and 1 dog) get so many gifts! Each have their own stocking and I fill it full of treats and gifts! They are spoiled rotten throughout the year too! 🙂 My Maxamus would love playing with the strings on that toy! And…. I’m so glad Monkey is feeling better! I’ve been worried about her! It makes me so happy that you two found each other and that she has a warm home where she is loved and taken care of!
Glad she’s feeling a little better….and I love the pics of the cats checking out their new toy! We’re very erratic with pet Christmas presents. Some years we do better than others….I figure the kids would be a lot more likely to notice if we forgot to give THEM presents, so they get first priority 😉
Of course: fresh catniip and, edible treats!
Glad to hear Monkey is doing better! <3
Oh yes. My 3 cats are not forgotten at Christmas!
So glad little Monkey is feeling better. I have four rescue cats that would love to have that stocking of goodies from Santa! Not like they don’t get treats everyday though!
my cats get stockings every year!!!
So glad to hear your Monkey seems to be getting better! We don’t really get our cats (or dogs) presents but I’ve wanted to start doing that.
Yes, all pets get presents
I’m so glad little Monkey is feeling better. I always get my fur-angels treats/toys for Christmas.
Omg!!! What great markings on Lily
!!!
Our cats love to eat the friskies treats and food. This would be fun for them. Thank you.
Awww I’m so glad to hear Monkey is feeling a little better! Your kitties are just so cute, I love seeing them on your blog (although I admit, Lucy is my favourite, don’t tell the others) 😉 I really want to get Meisha a cat water fountain for Christmas so I don’t have to keep running the tap for her – so it’s a win/win I reckon! Ha! xxx
I won’t tell 😉 she is quite the little stylish Diva and I love her sass.
My cats do get presents for Christmas!
Our pets each get presents (even the turtle and hermit crab) as well as our 4-legged nieces and nephews : ) I hope everyone is in good health for the holidays and after. Thanks for the opportunity.
Of course
