  3. Looking good!! My hubby refuses to let me paint any walls white. lol
I have seriously thought about painting my kitchen white (there isn’t that much wall space) and maybe the ceiling (add wood planks) painted a light blue….
    So many ideas 😉

    1. Lots of great ideas! I don’t even ask my hubby for permission anymore!

  4. I love the white, I’ve been going back and forth on doing white in my bedroom, yours turned out great! I love how your husband always buys you things for you home!!! (: Hope your shoulder is feeling better soon!

  5. This looks great – light and bright. Your home is just gorgeous – so chic. And I know what you mean about making one change and then wanting to make them everywhere.

  6. Love the new look! You blended it with the right popping colors..It’s something how you can make small changes with minimal dollars yet make a big impact.. I tip my hat to you…

  7. That artwork is beautiful! I don’t remember seeing it before. I’d love to see some tile- wish it was in the budget here but my husband just glares. We are supposed to be moving in the spring so I’m supposed to be focused.

  8. Oh how sad about the beautiful green horsey. I have done the very same thing before…. so aggravating. It always seems to happen to our favorites. Sapphire Black Kitty Brat knocked over my table by the front door along with the huge enamel stone umbrella stand and broke the umbrella stand and a heart shaped dish I liked. I don’t think I can ever come close to replacing that umbrella stand. I got it at Family Dollar for only $15 bucks and I don’t even see them now for anything close to that. I just love your roosters. And the white walls look fantastic. I am so wanting to paint my living room faux paneling white also. I am having tons of trouble with what white though.

  9. Your white walls look awesome, I’m craving fresh and crisp these days ~ when I’m not craving black, ha!! 🙂

  10. Love the white! I know what you mean by wanting to change other things. I would love to go white in my condo, but I know that would mean painting or replacing the kitchen cabinets…not sure I’m ready to tackle that. Bummer about the horse…I say, turn him into a planter!

    1. Painting white is actually really hard, because everything else starts to look dirty.

  11. Looks great!! Sorry about the broken horse but now you can use it as a planter!!

  12. It looks terrific Julia. Instant refresh with the white walls. I love how it looks 🙂

That deer in the kitchen is INSANE. I love it so much 🙂

  13. The white walls look gorgeous! And I’m such a fan of that painting – those colors would be absolutely PERFECT in my living room! And I love your brass roosters… And I guess I just want to come live in your house 😉

That cat is so awesome! I wish I had the discipline, time and money to have a pet, with a stress on the discipline. My kids want one so badly….
I think I will copy your curtains, and as live in a very tiny house I know that white walls are my best (and sadly, only) bet, what brand and shade did you buy?

  15. Love the white walls! We did our previously multi-colored 1st floor in a soft whitish non-color and I love it! I threw “color schemes” out the window with fresh new walls, and I love it.

  16. White is right! 🙂 I love white and have really been wanting to paint our walls a new shade of white, but it’s a huge job since our whole house would have to be painted. Love how it looks in your living and dinging room.

  17. I am just LOVING the brightness. That painting in the dining room is so perfect! What a lovely colour boost. Good luck fixing the horse, he is lovely!

Its such a slippery slope isn’t it! I loved the other rug in the room, but the striped one looks awesome too. Great painting too!! Love it.

  20. Love your walls painted white. It sure makes painting easier to have your ceiling and trim the same color as your walls. So sorry about your horse. Have you tried searching Ebay for a replacement? Years ago my cousin broke an antique plate that I found at the thrift store. Low and behold I found the same exact one on Ebay! I bought 2 just in case it happened again.

  21. Love the changes! The white looks so fresh! I would love to paint our main living areas white at some point this year.

  22. Your horse is gorgeous and it’s sad its broken. Maybe you could put some sprigs in it and use it as a vase?

  23. I LOOOOVE the white walls!! I’ve been dying to paint all my common areas white too. I just love how fresh and clean it is, and I feel like you can really play with colors in accessories so much more freely. Gorgeous!

It reminds me how beautiful life is! The attractive lights, the wall painting and fury chairs, they are looking amazing in a single shot! Can I keep the stool? How about the animal plate picture? Those are awesome! Classy!

  25. White walls make everything look so crisp. (I’ve been in the process of repainting all ours.) And I absolutely love your new rug! It would look great in my entryway.

  26. I love your changes but I’m so sorry about the horse! 🙁
Good luck w/ your upholstery project, I can’t wait to see it! xo

  27. I love the white walls!! They make everything so bright and clean feeling!!

  28. I love your all-white walls, too! I am curious…what color are your ceilings painted? They look like a slight “sand” color? Your home is gorgeous…I love your style! That yellow horse is amazing…I hope you can fix it or find another one.

    1. Thanks Julie, that was actually an off white that got yucky and I now ended up painting it the same white as the walls.
