I totally forgot about this!
You guys, I just noticed the other day that my Modern Fresh Home Tour came up and is now about 2 weeks ago but I never shared or mentioned my new nightstands with you. I’d been so busy that I simply forgot.
The knobs are actually champagne/gold color but look silver on the photo. |
I had been looking for larger nightstands for a long long time and I know I have mentioned it on here plenty of times. I was waiting for that perfect pair of vintage dressers. I spotted them at some point at an auction and someone outbid me. Nothing ever compared I guess. Then I started ogling the Ikea Koppang dresser and I thought I could come up with this awesome and mind blowing hack. I had it all planned out and then Emily Clark posted her painted Koppang dressers which totally deflated my ideas because it was pretty much what I was thinking. Her version is pretty awesome and as of now I’m not going to try to do anything similar because I had purchased knobs at Anthropologie in early spring on sale that are working out great for now. And I think I might be ok just changing out the knobs every now and then like jewelry. I guess not everything has to get hacked and painted all the time, right?
Check out these other gorgeous Anthropologie knobs.

I love the Ikea Koppang! They look awesome in your bedroom and yes, why hack them when they already look so good? I do like #2 Anthro knob though:)
love them! i love the knobs you chose- so many great choices at anthro! i am digging number 4!
Timeless! Also, love the knobs (2 and 5 are amazing!).
They look classic and the knobs are beautiful! You are so right…not everything we purchase needs to be altered and changed! Sometimes it’s nice to be able to just buy something and not have to put tons of work into it. 🙂
I think your new dressers look great with the rest of your bedroom decor. (Especially the champagne knobs.) Sometimes things are just perfect for a space without a lot of tweaking.
And those Anthro knobs–how fun!
I totally agree. It’s PERFECT as it is!!! I love the knobs (I can tell they’re champagne from my computer). I’m obsessed with all things Anthropologie!!! XO, Aimee
anthropolgie knobs are always so interesting, how can you go wrong? i love the simple switch, and like you said, you can always change them out when you want a little freshness!
It looks great Julia! I totally agree with living with things for a while until you have that “Aah Ha!” moment. I am a bit obsessed with IKEA overlays right now. Have you tried any? http://www.myoverlays.com/default.aspx
Yes Julia I agree that it looks great as is. Although the overlays idea is a good one too. I’m sorry your other ones got away:( l like the idea if treating the knobs like jewelry. Totally allows you to reinvent the piece whenever you want!
Great minds think alike! I love your nightstand. I’ve been keeping my eye out for something white myself.
Thanks Jennifer
I think the dresser looks great as it is! And the knobs are cute. And I really like your fancy hexagon knob thingy….(i am sure there is a more technical name!)
Yes they are great.
Now you know why every knob in my kitchen is DIFFERENT! It has started a collection and now friends and family bring them to me as gifts……It’s been a ball.
Love the idea of changing out the knobs–new nightstands all the time!
These look great! The knobs are super unique, too!
They are beautiful, and oh my goodness…those choices are to die for!
Wow, took me a while to recognize the IKEA dresser. Love the 2nd knob. I gravitate to anything red/organish. Have been eying some red coral knobs at the Old Lucketts store for sometime now.
Red coral knobs sound awesome!
It looks great, but #7, oh my goodness!!!
I love the night stands as-is! So simple and clean and chic 🙂 Anthro’s knobs are always sooo awesome. I wish that they didn’t cost so much though!
Yes me too. Way too expensive 🙁
so stunning! I love the way they look!
Thanks. I really wish those Anthro knobs wouldn’t be so expensive 🙁
so fun how the knobs changed the look of the dresser/nightstands 🙂 I’m loving #2, #5 and #7
& yeah, why not keep the dresser as is right now and later when you will want a makeover or update of your room you can paint them if you want 🙂
It looks so good! Just do what makes you happy 🙂 btw your bedroom looks so cozy!
That’s an IKEA dresser?! I never would’ve guessed! I really love the knobs you chose along with #7 in your graphic. We need new nightstands as well but I’m so picky haha
I like them the way they are. Very clean. I’d go with knob #7 – so unique! Erin
I had no idea they were Ikea – the clean lines look great! Oh my gosh, I LOVE the #7 knob you posted!!
Very nice.
The night stands look great as is. Keeping them simple lets the hardware shine and whatever else you might want to display on them. 🙂
love your new nightstands, so much great storage! I love all the anthro knobs, they’re the best.
Great find and the #4 knobs are what I would go with.
