I went to the auction again on Wednesday! There were several things that I wanted but there is always only a limited time when you have to get kids off the bus. Bummer but it saves me from buying too many things that I don’t need!
They had huge vintage nursery rhyme wallpaper posters that I wanted for my etsy shop but wasn’t able to get. They were perfect for a baby or toddler’s room. Really cool! But too many people were interested in them.
I’m actually on the hunt for vintage animal bust framed needle point artwork for my sister-in-law. It’s her Birthday on Tuesday (thank God she is on vacation) but I can’t find anything. Do any of you now where to get them? HELP! That’s what she wants.
I left a bid for some vintage brass/metal wall art and GOT IT. I originally wanted to resell it but I do have to say that I love it so much. This is always my struggle. I want to keep things! I do, I do, I do! HOARDER!
Isn’t it cool? It’s like a porcupine sunburst hybrid. What do you think? Is it a keeper?
I also bought some brass bookends for a $1. A dollar at the auction!!! Do I need them? Nope! And that’s the auction dilemma again. You see so many things that you don’t need at great prices and you have to try to stop yourself.
And then I stopped at Salvation Army and I found a deer for 99 cents which I wanted to paint for Christmas but when my Lilly got home from school she snatched it up and told me that she needed it in her room and I couldn’t have it right now. LOL! Oh well, she wants it to live under her Christmas tree for now.
Tomorrow I’m having my annual neighborhood cookie exchange. I have to confess something: I hate to bake! It’s true! But thank God the hubby doesn’t. I think it’s in his blood. His sister owns a bakery and his mom loves to bake too. So he baked my cookie batch for me and I’m giving him all the credit. He makes some phenomenal pies too. His pumpkin pie is the best I have ever tasted. Nobody makes it as good as he does, not even his mom or his sister. Really!
|A little blurry, sorry!|
So, I wish you all a great second advent weekend and I’ll try to take some pictures of the cookie exchange. The rest of the weekend I will spend at wrestling again.
Talk to you on Monday.
