    1. Thanks and yes we were. I’d actually be mad if my kids would get married at 23 (well Jarrid was 27 so not as young as me 😉

  1. Happy Anniversary to you both!! Isn’t it funny that our past sometimes seems like it happened in another life? Well, mine does anyway. 😉 Have a great date.

    1. Thanks and yes, it’s strange but also important to remember, right?
We don’t even look the same!

  2. Really sweet and sentimental. Happy anniversary! I met my husband in a bar too 🙂 We joke about what we will tell our daughters someday…ummm…Mommy and Daddy met in a bar and there was a lot of alcohol involved and that is how great love stories begin. Ha!

    1. LOL, right? Great story for the kids. But that’s where we hung out all the time, at bars, which I won’t tell them.
Maybe I’ll tell them: “Can you believe that the one and only time I went to a bar, I met your father?” Haha, just kidding!

  3. Happy anniversary! And what a cute project that is! I love it. Those cuttings came out amazing!! How cool you saved those little mementos!

  4. Congratulations and your darling project is so romantic! I love that you kept that scrap of paper!

You are so practical…that’s a good thing, glad you will get something done that will make you happy….good hubby!

    Have a great date night.

    1. Thanks Karen! I guess it’s the little things that make it romantic, right?

  5. The fact that you saved the movie ticket and the coaster is so awesome. I seriously have nothing from when we dated…i suck at that sort of thing. We were legally married before our ‘actual’ wedding too…but we celebrate our anniversary on the date we had our ceremony. Every year our legal date passes by (which is about 5 months before the ceremony date) and we don’t usually even remember until a week later. Happy 15 years! Have a fun kid-free dinner tonight.

    1. Thanks!
I usually don’t save stuff like that either but for some reason those two things made it 😉
We are always in Germany on our church anniversary and somewhat celebrate with my family but not really. This year I’ll be in Germany alone that day. I guess I’m choosing to celebrate the day where I legally changed my name in my passport. It was a big thing for me.

  6. I love how you made your memories into pieces of beauty! You will treasure them for years.
I also think your choice for your “gift” is priceless. I would do the same type of thing!

  7. you are both adorable in the first picture: too cute! 🙂 Congratulations on your 15th anniversary! hope you will have a nice dinner tonight with your husband. those frames are so special and they turned out beautiful too! funny because I’ve kept similar things from my husband too! framing them was a great idea Julia 🙂

  8. Aww, what a sweet gesture and great blogging material, too, but I’m sure that wasn’t crossing your mind! 🙂 Wishing you both the Happiest Anniversary, you both couldn’t be any cuter!

    1. Haha, no that didn’t cross my mind all those years ago! And thanks Pam.

  9. Happy happy anniversary!!! I am a memento keeper and I LOVE how you framed yours. So special and what a great reminder of those first few encounters that I’m sure were filled with butterflies in your stomachs! So fun…I hope you enjoy your night out! Congratulations!!! Jesse @ Scout & Nimble
